Actually, if you go by the US currency, which is where Blizzard Entertainment is based, the difference between each edition of the game is $20. My guess is Blizzard doesn't(or can't) adjust it for currencies across the world. I like WoW currencies better, as far as gold, silver, copper goes, because it's accepted across all nations, or factions if you will.

 

Also, Epic edition isn't just a pet. It's also a month of game time, a hearthstone effect, and weapon illusion.

So I was questing on a new character in Azsuna, and while doing the chain in the academy I happened to think to myself, "huh... I don't have a pet out... Shamrock, you're up!" My green little hatchling came up, and it took me a minute to notice that it had a spell book in one of it's claws, and it was periodically turning transparent and back again. It still ran around and said random things like information on this pet says, but somehow it has a book! I wonder what it grabs in other places?

Try fishing. There's an achievement where you have to catch certain fish. There's the Winter Squid and the Summer Bass... guess what times of the year you can catch them.  I got that achievement. It's not impossible. Just don't wait till the last minute to get the snow owl that can be found in Winterspring because when you get to catch this one, the other one disappears like the squid. I used to have this one on my excluded list, but then two of my alts, a hunter and mage, got it this year, so I came back and moved it to the collecting area. I'm quite surprised and pleased by this availability, and I hope many more pets that are currently unobtainable are brought back into the game. Owlaf got her lump of coal already while the alts got this robot... guess Owl still has a lot of farming to do! Keeping my feathers crossed!
