This is a great pet to capture on the way if you are leveling your first team to 25.

P/P is the best combo for this guy. The De-Weaponized Mechanical has the exact same moveset and only comes in S/S making the any of the power breeds more ideal for the Harvester.

@Berenzen, There are 2 colors of Gazelle critters, but only one color will spawn as a Gazelle Fawn battle pet. So only the red is available to capture.

These share spawns with Dung Beetles.

This is easiest on a Horde toon of course. I recommend making a lvl 1 Undead if you do not have a Horde toon already.

The strategy that seems to work best to force spawns is:

a. kill all non-rat battle pets

b. kill all rat non-battle pets

I got my rare after about 40 minutes. Breed doesn't really matter on this guy, there are tons of other rats and mice that share the same stats which are easier to farm. If you really must have the most optimal breed, go for an S/S.

I found the best place to farm these was in the un-instanced version of Zul-Gurub. It shares spawns with the other zone pets so it is best to clear out all battle pets.

The best place to farm this one is Silvermyst Isle. They share spawns with the other critters, so it is best to battle everything. The spawn rate is pretty consistant, and they are not spread as far apart on this isle like on the main isle.

I came across a rare Scarab with a rare Dung Beetle secondary in my first battle. I decided to capture the beetle since it was the breed I preferred. I wish I had captured the scarab instead. I have already seen several other rares looking for the next rare scarab.

Update: finally got a rare scarab, in the mean time I picked up several rares as secondaries and leveled a couple of carry pets. Orsis is definitely the best place to farm these. There are lots of them and quick respawn.

An excellent pet for someone leveling up for the first time. A Lava Beetle (especially P/P breed) will be helpful for when you start to encounter undead pets and trainers.

I just found my first one of these and it was a rare. Unfortnately I realized after I clicked on it that I had the wrong team up from doing tamers. I backed out of the fight to reset it and right after I did, some NPC hawk came down and killed the bullfrog. I am not amused.

These also come up secondary to maggots which are plentiful in the Dead Scar.

This is an amazing pet for leveling. I captured one while leveling my first team and wish I had swapped to it right away. Mine is an H/P rare and he solos entire teams. If you keep shell and tranq up he will end each fight with nearly full health.

This guy is a glass cannon. I have the P/P breed and he can do some devastating damage, but has almost no health.
