Found it at the little alcove where you go up the ramp to the flight path in Dalaran. Cheered at it 3 times at it disappeared. Was worried was something was wrong, but the pet is auto-added to the inventory! I would recommend using a /tar Neth and flying around. I also used the custom group finder to server hop.
