Sweet battle pet, it's a shame he doesn't have more personality. I like giving him the growth biscuit but unfortunately, he still refuses to be interesting.  I guess that's what happens when you're a statue.  But yeah, he's worth having since he can clean up a lot of trainers.  But crush misses more often than it hits.  Thank goodness for stone skin.

I decided to fish for him a few nights ago and I'm not sure how long it took, but it didn't feel that long.  I fished the nodes as suggested in El's guide and it was at least 200 casts, but well worth it as my Lobstrocity is both hideous and awesome.  Bonuses were Mr. Pinchy as a guardian, and his blessing.  Now if only one of those whelps would drop...

I prefer not to think of the amount of time I spent trying to catch a rare.  Sure, you battle them and they respawn quickly, but it took many trips because after an hour I'd get BORED of battling them and I refuse to use a stone on a common spawn.  I named the H/P I eventually caught Sorrow.

This guy is a lollygagger.  He's so busy singing, he forgets to follow you!  But he's so cute that it was worth completing the quest chain.  If you're having trouble with the quests, head on over to Wowhead and read away.  Good advice there.

If you kill everything in the area, you will find many harpy pets to battle.  Not sure how long it took to find a rare but it couldn't have been more than an hour.  Anywho, this and my Unborn Val'kyr are my favorite vanity pets.  Plus she's a solid battle pet.  I like to use her against Aki since she has humanoid and flying moves.

I don't know why I waited so long to lvl this thing, it's one of the most useful battle pets around.  Life Exchange is the greatest move ever when you're battling BoF.  Plus it's magic!  Flyers don't have a chance.  It did take a while to catch a rare, but they are plentiful around Dire Maul.

He's cute but noisy, what with all the screaming spirits he summons.  Good battle pet and very convenient if you're power lvling a low pet, since he has that excellent, double-sided barrier.  I've only recently maxed him so have yet to find how good he is against tamers, but I hope he'll make himself useful.  Didn't take too long for him to drop and he did right after I picked one up cheap from the AH.  I think he dropped on my third or fourth run of TK.

Excellent battle pet!  I have the P/P breed, which is sloooow, but that's what Counter Strike is for.  He's also the super cutest companion and I like giving him the enlarging biscuit when I conduct business on my worgen alt.   I've only had him drop once from two BBW events and I ran Kara weekly on one toon from May something to mid August.  Double RNG stinks but if you're lucky you can buy him cheap on the AH.

This is my favorite mech pet and I named him Ray in honour of a custodian who worked at my alma matter.  I have the H/H breed and while he's not as strong as other mechs, Shock & Awe and Ion Cannon are plenty powerful enough to blow up opposing beasts.  Can't remember how many runs it took to get him, but it wasn't too many.  He only dropped once for me though.

Draculabus (the name of my rare P/P yellow moth) is awesome and makes short work of aquatics. He's useful against other types just because w 341 attack, flying speed bonus, adrenaline rush, and alpha strike, you're bound to do decent damage to anyone.  And if your moth dust hits?  Say "goodnight" Gracie cuz your opponent is going down for the count.

Excellent pet if you're just getting into battling since he's easily obtained and incredibly useful.  He lacks in health, so if you know you're about to get chewed up, throw a Sticky Grenade.  I've rared my P/S and love that minefield will stick even if a pet is burrowed or in the air.  He's not as strong as some of the other mech pets, but he has his uses.  I use him against Jeremy Feasel and the Hozen trainer in Krasarang Wilds.

These are useful for lvling pets if you're like me and enjoy the slow way.  If you're just starting out, this is a good one to grab since they are lvl 16-18, easily gunned down by strong lower lvl pets, and fly solo so no pesky second or third to beat down.  Eyeblast and Interrupting Gaze are a dead useful combo too.  Also, my first Flawless unmarked battlestone dropped after fighting one, but that was two droprate modifications ago.

This baby is a must have for battling aquatics, what with being resistant to them and having good ol' flight moves. Very useful, very pretty, definitely one of my favorites, and not just because I jc.  To reiterate, this pet is learned as "uncommon." I have yet to see one turn into anything more or less.

I love this thing. You will never kill a rare ever again if you have a lvl 25 turnip.  Not sure if this is coincidence but I have had 3 drop and all of those seeds came from harvesting the crop of the day (I normally farm motes). Cheap on the AH too so get one and lvl it for your pet collecting pleasure.

This thing is the bane of my pet collecting existence.  [excessive whining deleted]  When I finally get this guy, I'm gonna summon him, give him a biscuit, and then I'm going to slap him until I feel better.

*Edit* Caught him shortly after my 7/8/13 comment, using the spawn timer method & found a rare H/P breed on my parked dk on Venture Co by the big guy at 2:30ish PDT.  His name is Turdy Mcpoopy and yes, I slapped him.  A lot.

For those hopping over to foreign servers to nab this pet, be aware, you're not the only one with that idea.  I like to keep alts in different places depending on what sort of interaction I feel like, and today I was questing in Silithus on my Brazilian server and there were at least a solid dozen DKs camping this thing.  Funny, but prob annoying for the locals as there were some non DK peeps camping too.

As previously mentioned, killing things in the Tainted Forest causes this to spawn.  I saw none, went into the forest and killed a whole lotta stuff, came out, and there was one little guy out there on the plateau.  I engage and whaddaya know? He's a rare! :D  Nice to get the EK Safari achieve with a rare of a pet you've never encountered before.

Finding this pet involves sheer luck because despite all my strategic low pop alt creation and my early morning hunting trips, I found this on my main on Caelestraz around 1pm server time at the lower right Grizzley Hills point.  I was beside myself since I was flying in from Howling Fjord on one last round before my game time expired.  Lvl 21 common B/B, but stoning her made her lvl 18. Use a frog and and a turnip and pray she doens't commit suicide.  Good Luck!

Oh, this thing is so suicidal.  Took an hour to snag my uncommon H/S, and even had my team killed because I found an uncommon H/P coupled with a rare Twilight Spider.  So make sure you don't lower it's health too much if it hasn't used takedown (or whatever the PokeWoW equivalent is called) because it will die.

My first time on the island in the rain, I found a few poor.  Took one just to tick that box off the EK safari list, but went back the next day to rare hunt.  Waited til it rained and there were TONS of babies.  Snagged my rare, snagged a rare shore crab, left a happy camper.  Was sometime in the morning, Caelestraz time.

Fished for 150+ casts in various spots on the island, and while I didn't get the Sea Pony, I did get the funny hat that makes a debris pool.  So I put that on and went to the cave.  Fished for a bit more, not too sure as it was really late, but nothing came up.  Logged off still in the cave and the next day, fished for about 20 minutes when I caught my precious Sea Pony!  I'd say fish the cave, seems to work for lots of folks.  Happy hunting!
