This is your daily reminder to check the Auction House for any pet you think is incredibly rare -- I just found a fully leveled Crimson Whelpling on the AH for 15k. Insane.

I spent about an hour flying from the lake to the gorge and only three spawned, all of them poor quality. Hit up two random critter in the zone and there was a Rare Crystal Spider on the second. Might just be worth looking around at random pets instead of farming the specific spawn points.

Despite their low rarity, I get the sneaky suspicion the quality of the pets is INCREDIBLY high. I've seen four of these guys so far, and all were rare quality.
