I have not yet seen the entire list of things the pet vendor is going to sell but more pet treats would be good, all the way from ones that grant extra xp during pet battles like the existing in game treats but also ones that grant other buffs like extra health or more attack power or speed buff :)

I just bought him today in the AH for 8k :) already leved him up to lvl21 he will be 25 by tomorrow :)
