If you see this pet in the opponent's team, look out for pets that have a high damaging ability. I fought a player that used Righteous Inspiration to switch with a Blackfuse Bombling to use Armageddon on the next turn. This nearly wiped my entire team. This combination can be undone by a stun on the targeted pet. Stunning the Murkalot will only delay the ability.
This pet is capable of soloing Epic and Legendary pets with Claw, Dodge, and Howl. My pet is P/S and is often faster than most other pets, resulting in Dodge lasting for two attacks. With Howl, Claw tears through most pets in two to three hits. It is imperative to make the hits count as its health pool is rather low and will not last too long against other heavy hitters.
A must-have because of its high damage output and dominance over flying pets. With Mana Surge/Arcane Storm, you can pump an average of 1947 damage over 3 rounds. However, Mana Surge is not flexible, so it should be used to finish off targets in between survival CD. If your pet is slow, use Tail Sweep/Sear Magic/Wild Magic for survival against dots and condition-met abilities (i.e. Takedown).
This pet is versatile with his use of high damage ability or stun, damage increase or chill. If you prefer to have a stun, Thrash/Frost Shock/Deep Freeze, in my opinion is the best set up. Takedown is high damage ability when the target is stunned, otherwise the damage is subpar to using Thrash against a chilled target. 1460 can be achieved in 4 turns with Takedown (if the freeze sticks), while Thrash can deal 1296 - 1944 damage.
This pet is an optimal damage dealer for two reasons: it uses high damaging ability that requires to meet a condition (Rip w/ Blood in the Water) and a damage-rooting ability to keep the enemy from switching (Paralyzing Shock). You have to be prepared to deal with avoiding abilities, but fortunately Rip and Blood in the Water are flexible enough to wait a turn or two.
This pet has the ability to hold down any group through leveling as it is capable of self/current pet heals and the use of an average damaging ability. At times, this pet is almost cheating, even against NPC pet trainers
This pet is survivalist that depends on avoidance and damage through heals. If you want to go for higher damage, try the Acid Touch/Dive/Plagued Blood. Using Dive on CD and AT with PB debuff up, you can heal between 250-300 health every 3 turns while avoiding 1 attack every either 4 turns. For healing, Absorb/Bubble/Drain Blood can heal 596-836 (depending on target's max health) every 3 turns while avoiding 2 consecutive attacks every 8 turns.
