I think Blizzard may have put up the spawn rate for this.  For ages I had logged in at different spawn points to get my UV with no luck. So one day I decided to go to the dungon in Zul'Drak for what I cannot honestly remember.  There it was just sitting outside.  I logged another toon a few days later this time in Sholazar Basin, just doing some farming and there it was again.  Targeted it and my partner now has one too.  We are both happy.  It's a great Battler.

Had a hard time trying to get one of these today.  I don't know if this is a wow bug or something, but I could not quite get to battle it at first.  I double clicked the left mouse button and quickly right clicked, that seemed to do the trick, verified it has worked and now got my Uncommon Gleamhoof Fawn.  I will stone it later to give it rare quality.  Now to pick a name ;) 

I love this pet for Puppies of the Flame.  It is similar to the Terrible Turnip's ability Sons of the Root.  Great for dodging some mechanical abilities, like Launch Rocket when used in time, depending on rng and speed of course :) I love the look of the pet, and just so sweet to bring out. 

Grannyglee, you are awesome.  Pet collecting and battling them is one of my favourite features in the game.  Keep on playing and having fun xx

Agree with others here, pretty hard to find a rare one of these.  Finally got mine at Obelisk of the Sun at 22:25 server time.  

Got an uncommon, however currently farming a rare.  I have found these spawn quicker if you kill the big nexus watchers.  Will update if I get a rare :)

 

 

I got my rare P/S breed and honestly is a fantastic pet to have.  Against the Garrison pet dailies that bring out the flying pets, Arcane Storm and Mana Surge owns those battles with just one pet.  

 

 

Bring this pet along with Chrominius for the daily pet battle in Talador. That got me my Awfully Big Adventure

Roled a DK on The Venture Co-EUrealm, went straight to felwood after leveling the toon to get out there.  Ran just below whispering grove killing some critters, killed some mobs around the area too.  Was just sitting for a few moments then back to some killing and a worgen level ?? came along and hit my dk. I don't know if it had anything to do with the spawn, however when I ressed back at my corpse which was between 4 pillars, the minfernal was there. Common level but not worried.
