It looks like with the new patch the dark bubble is now replaced with a nice clear bubble so you can see your cute little puffer, same with the sea pony. They also add some cute noises for the puffer :)

What I would suggest for anyone farming this pet is to install the peggle or bejeweled addon, it helped me pass the time much more enjoyably while farmed this little beauty. Got him yesterday after several days of trying, keep at it guys, it will be yours :)

I got him after 316 loots, usually killed the foxes while doing my dailies. Dailies are your friends <3
