showed up at 9:15pm ST. no one else was there (server was Akama). there were five pets spawned. I checked all of them - one uncommon, one common, three poors. I captured the uncommon - lucked out and got an aquatic battle stone too! 

side note: the area marked on the map on this site is wrong (for me at least) the pin is farther north than it should be. The pets are located at the Incursion area. Big turtle statue, lots of turtles.

leveled my bankalt to 5 before i saw a rare one, then caught my second rare not even five minutes later. both of them were in the circle containing the auctioners. 

This has been the most annoying rare to get in the Jade Forest. I have 3 rares of all the other pets in the zone, but I've only seen two rare Jungle Darters. The first one murdered my pets and the second got smashed by an unlucky 1k crit. ugh. I found the first rare along the river by Paw'don Village as a primary, the second was a secondary off a Jumping Spider at the north end of the Jade Serpent temple. 

 

Bring a fast team to catch this one - above 300 speed on all three pets.

Found my rare as a secondary to a twilight fiendling right next to the battle pet daily. 

Finally got a rare - located in Undercity (outside of course) middle of the west wall. It took me about 40 battles to find a rare, but there are lots of uncommons running around.

I have been farming these in Mt Hyjal for three days, no luck on rare but lots of uncommons. I'd recommend using a stone on this one if you really want a rare.

Found two rare bats  as secondary pets at Nordassil - Nordassil is a great place to farm rares since there aren't many mobs wandering around and there are always 10+ batte pets in the little area around the lake.

While I did see a lot of these as secondary pets around Nordassil (I spent about 2-3 hours there powering leveling some little pets), I caught a rare after only 10 battles in the Hyjal Barrow Den, at the bottom of the path near the water. 

was fighting for a rare near the flight path at River's Heart when I got ganked. Why can pvp target you during pet battle when pve can't? 

 

Edit: I found another rare on top of the cliff right above the flight path right after I rezzed. Still pissed though.

Found a rare at the corner of the pool closest to the Argent Stand. Only took me about 2 hours.

Found rare at 60/63 - first one fought. They go down pretty fast, and come in clusters of 4-6.

Found a rare northeast of Conquest Hold, along the river bank. 

Found a rare in the exact middle of islan, after about 60 battles... /cry

Found a rare in the northwest section, near the tower, after three days of checking the cauldara at random times and only find poor or commons. The best time to go seems to be late morning - 10am to noon, PST. I'm not sure if there are more spawns or less campers, but i was finding about 5 spawns per circuit during that time. Also - watch out for gankers. 

Found two rares, one right after the other, as secondaries to Fel Flames at the eastren tip of the laval pool surrounding Hand of Gul'dan.

found a rare at the head of the snake river that runs through ungoro. it was paired with a rare cockroach and an uncommon parrot. Found a second rare not even twenty feet from it. Found the third rare about ten minutes later, as a secondary off an ash lizard on the west side of Fire Plume Ridge. 

rare spawned by cave entrance, second one i fought - very lucky!
