This pet can be a secondary to every other pet in the zone accually, I've been hunting it as well as a Mac Frog, and Oasis Moth from everything in the zone.
If you cannot find one as a primary pet, you can also get these as secondary pets as well.
Also since it hasn't been mentioned, these pets will never be a secondary to another pet or another scarab either.
I just wanted to mention that this pet can be a secondary to other pets as well, not just other sidewinders, or only as a primary. So this might make it alittle easier to get that rare your searching for.
Just a note this pet can only be a PRIMARYpet, I have found no secondarys even to another Scropling
While they can be found all over Eastern Plaguelands I have not seen one as a secondary pet, only a primary pet. Just thought I would share this info
I saw virtually none when i was in arathi a small chance as a secondary pet and always poor quality. I went to Durotar because I also needed a Rare Creepy Crawley and they are all over the place as a primary pet. Being lvl 1 to 2 there was no secondary pets.
I would suggest the Infected Bears around Azurelode Mine in HillsBrad Foothills for this grind. I've Gotten 2 of these pets from them (The First one I gave Away). The bears appear all around the mine, so you can set up an easy farming route, plus the benefit of getting Light Leather, some Medium Leather, Light and Medium hides as well. The only Draw back to this is its a pretty high questing area, however the respawns are decent so there wont be any fighting over the bears for farmers or questers.
If you are having problems finding this pet in rare quality, it accually has a decent spawn rate as a secondary pet, (along with the kit). So I would suggest looking as both primary and secondary to increase your chances!
