Tell me I'm not the only Whovian who named it "Rose".
Went to Deadwind today to grind some pets using Arcane Eye. They weren't there, and I had nothing else to do, so on a whim decided to try soloing Kharazan knowing absolutely nothing about it save vague stories about Opera and Chess. I made it through handily and at the end was rewarded with this little guy that I didn't even know existed until I looted.
Oh, and today was my birthday.
I spent over an hour and a half fishing for him in the Dalaran fountain only to find out that only the edges have the sewer loot tables, so I broke down and grabbed him from the AH. I don't care that I didn't get the achievement; I got a giant rat for my Critter team and that's what matters.
The powers and abilities of a frog with the appearance of a warp stalker. What's not to love?
Got him when he first came out because of the charity. At the time, I was a little upset because I thought it nixed the idea of either Pandaren or monks becoming playable.
Since Mists came out, I named him Junior and have him following my female Pandaren Windwalker.
This was the first wild pet I ever captured, in the Goblin Slums, before I even knew about the intricacies of pet breeds and rarity. He was poor quality, but I spent a Mogu stone to turn him uncommon, and he's in line for a flawless stone if I'm lucky enough to get as many as I need. Because he was my first, and that counts for something.
This pet follows my Unholy DK around. Let that sink in.
I got this and the Wind Rider from my family for my college graduation back in 2010. Can't think of a better gift.
This was the first rare I ever encountered. At that time, I didn't realize that rarity was random; I just figured Black Lambs were rare. In any case, I caught him, and I might level him up as part of the achievement because he was my first.
On a whim, checked AH and saw a couple of these for 2Kg. Not a small fee, but for the pet rated second only to the Unborn Val'Kyr - and virtually impossible to farm without a group - I figured it was reasonable. I only used him in two battles so far, but he won me my rare Fluxfire Feline, and both will become my Thirds for their respective types once I get the core 15 levelled.
Out of the Zandalari raptors, I went with this guy for two reasons. 1: He seemed to have the best moveset placement, and 2: The green head and purple body reminded me of the Green Goblin (so I named him Normie)
As much as I love this companion, and he's part of my main team, Fridge Horror sets in when I realize I'm essentially training my adopted son to be a street brawler.
I named mine Drobot, because obviously. The perfect companion for the BM Hunter who created him.
Waiting on Draenor.
