I found my first one in the Fjord just below Skorn as I was flying around and staying inside that zone, looking for rare Fjord Rats and others prevalent in that area.  Unfortunately, she killed herself, but the next day, I was still in the Fjord looking for more rare pets and she appeared in the right-most spawn point in that zone.  I was able to catch her this time and she was common quality before using a stone on her.

I found my rare one through a Gilded Moth, but I noticed the map left out a location for the Effervescent Glowfly?  I found groups of 3 of them around the top of the cliffs going around the Guo Lai watery area.  I had already found my rare though, so I haven't checked them for rares.

Found several over the span of an hour all around Hand of Gul - two Uncommon, the rest were Poor/Common.  Went pet hunting around the rest of Outland and came back at 10:50am on Gorefiend and found one.  It was a Rare, in the green patch east of Shadowmoon Village in Sketh'lon Wreckage.  I hope that helps. :)

Back in Wrath (I'm a Wrath baby), I went with a Paladin friend one two different occasions on my hunter.  On the 2nd time ever being there, not only did I get this pet, but I got the mount as well in the same run.

Really wish I had bought the special edition to get this pet. :(  Truly one of the cutest and best looking whelps out there.

Captured 12/10/2012 on Gorefiend, sometime in the morning.  I killed about 100 wyrmkins before finally going beserk and nuking everything in Coldarra for 4 rounds.  There was a level 88 Alliance helping out, so it wasn't too bad with quick mob respawns.  Got one poor spawn exactly north of EOE, but after I caught it, another spawned exactly in it's place - another poor quality.

Dropped off my 2nd AQ run since the pet's release.  I have yet to battle with it, but every time I've battled it, it's been a powerhouse.

On 12/10/2012, I was in the area trying to catch rare versions of all of the pets in Tanaris.  Naturally, I would stop by COT several times to see if the whelp was there, since there isn't a way to "make" it spawn.  For a few hours, there was literally none.  After I had finally captured about 4 rares, I went back to COT an 8th time that day, found two at the tunnel entrance above ground on either side, 20 minutes later 5 in the cave below - all poor.

Found 2 on Gorefiend (US) at 10 minutes apart around the Gnomer area.  Flew around for about 20-30 minutes looking for a rare Snow Cub.  After finally getting a rare, I came back to the Gnomer area and found two more.  All four were poor quality.  I gave looking one more shot and went through the Gnomer passages and only found one more.  It was also poor quality. =/

Really adorable pet.  I have seen tons of spawns of these at all times of the day on Gorefiend (US) on all sides of Bloodhoof Village in the open grasslands area and all around the SE and SW sides of Thunderbluff.  Very easy catch.  My 7th gazelle was a rare.

Lil' Tarecgosa is definitely in the top 3 most cutest and most powerful pets I've encountered.  I really love that she is a very unique whelpling, and her 1-shot kills attacks are fantastic in a pinch.  I've used this one to level, battle, and quest with.  I named mine Sapphire. :)

I really love this pet.  I'm very partial to dragons as it is, but this is one of my most favorites.  It was the reason I got into collecting vanity pets. :)  I do use mine for my core battle group and love using her.  I named mine Celeste. :D

I saw a bunch of these on my way to farm the Kara mount on an alt, Dec. 5, 2012 at 10 a.m. Gorefiend server time around the Kara castle.  I didn't have it, so I figured I'd get one while I was in the area and the first (and only one) that I fought right next to the Kara raid gate was a level 17 Rare.  Talk about lucky? :p  Was a medium-hard fight using my level 15 Lil' Tarecgosa.  It took 6 attempts to capture as well.  Hope that helps!
