Even though the event goes for a while, this is going to be a one and done run for most people due to the length of time it takes. I would expect the pet prices not to drop dramatically and they may be lower now than they are in a few weeks, so if you want this pet, you may want to buy it sooner than later. All that said, my money is on this pet appearing on Rag's loot table either in MC or FL (more likely FL) after the event is over. I don't think Blizzard intends it to be THAT rare.
