Before 'Battle Pets', back during The Burning Crusade, this was one of the coolest and toughest companion pets anyone could get.

I don't have numbers or stats on getting him, but from my own personal experience, it was quite an effort to finally get it.  First thing was getting your Outlands flying skill, the first place flying was introduced.  Then you had to compete with players to fish up Mr.Pinchy.  I had to capture him 3 times, so on the 9th wish I got my Magical Crawdad.

I really didn't know anything about Battle Pets when this dropped, so much so that I even went as far as just leaving it in my bank inventory for the longest time.  I tried to sell it at a very reasonable price (way below actual value) but nobody had interest or just didn't see it.  When I finally discovered I liked doing pet battles, I decided to keep it and to add it to my collection.  There it stands as a reminder, ignorance is bliss. ♥

Have quite a few moths in my collection, and this one is my favorite color variation.  Collecting a rare P/S version is a bit tricky since there's only just 1 Crimsonwing Moth in Talador at a time, and it can be found anywhere in the zone.  Well worth the time and effort in getting it so keep trying until you do get one.
