I've been playing WoW since August 2005. My first class was a Tauren druid, but about a month in, I decided to reroll and try an Undead mage. She's been my main since!
My very first pet was a Bombay cat that I jokingly called Witch. Being a mage that was fond of pointy hats and long robes, a black cat was very fitting for me. Later on, I recieved a Dark Whelpling from a friend of mine as a birthday present. He was pet number two. After that, the fur and feathers started blurring together as I happily scooped up any critter that came my way.
I was at a good 40-50 pets when Blizzard finally introduced the pet and mount tabs and made my bank sooo much happier. And me too, as I could now go back and get each color of cat, or bird, or snake, etc...
My absolute favorite pet is the Scorchling. It's probably the most fitting pet for Asphy, as she's always been a fire spec, so having her own little fire elemental pet makes it just extra cool. Plus, I've never seen another person with it, either on Garona or Ghostlands, which makes her feel special. ^_^
