I joined WoW shortly after AQ was released. My best friend loves this game so much that she bought me a copy to try, and I was hooked. Fun fact: I was raiding BWL with my guild when the South Park WoW episode first aired. The RL had to yell at us to stop watching it because we kept wiping.

 

Even back then, the noncombat pets immediately caught my attention. Back then I already thought the game had a lot of pets. I wanted them all, but of course bag space was a problem.

 

A few weeks after BC came out, I took a break from WoW. I did not return until mid-MoP--a few months before ToT opened. One of the first things I asked was, "I heard there's a pet battle system now. How do I get started?" It was wonderful to have a pet journal and not worry about bag space, to look around the world and see pets that I haven't collected yet, and to track down every pet that I could get my hands on. I was so determined to catch all the wild pets that I would even go into areas that I was underleveled for, hoping to enter pet battles before the crazy powerful mobs rip me to shreds.

 

This site has been very helpful as I continue to expand and refine my collection. It's great to know that there are other players who love WoW pets as much as (or more than) I do.
