As a serious pet battler I am a bit late to the party; I was an avid collector in The Burning Crusade (I remember when having 50 pets in your bags and bank was both serious business and seriously ANNOYING) and it extended on to the rest of my gaming experience; I initially started collecting on a rogue, rebuilt most of that small collection on a mage and made it quite large for the day (75+). I then switched mains and became an achievement hunter in Wrath of the Lich King, so I AGAIN rebuilt my collection. Thankfully everything is account bound now and I don't have to do that anymore! Yay Blizzard!

When Mists of Pandaria dropped I was really thrilled about pet battles. I loved the concept of it and tried it pretty much right away, but I was too distracted by raiding, leveling and being a guild officer to put as much time into it as I really would have liked. The guild that I had a leadership role in died out in Tier 14, so I transferred servers and had quite a bit of free time.

I started getting more into pet battles and leveled up my first pet. It took forever, I didn't do any research or reading and I leveled all the wrong pets; but I had a ton of fun. When the Celestial Tournament dropped I had about 450 unique pets and 50 or so 25s. I got destroyed my first time in and I decided then I wanted to be more tactical and serious about my battling and I set to work on building a really great stable of pets to do PVE and PVP with. 

 I have since met my goal of beating the Celestial Tournament.

I've been a member of Warcraftpets since 2009 but I haven't been active until very recently; I enjoy reading the forums and posting/reading reviews.
