I believe my Hermit Crab was a rare when I caught it, but not my Boghopper. That being said, it took me a very long time to find a spawned Hermit Crab.

I've gotten them from world quests and mission table quests. But I haven't seen them pop up for a couple days, so it will be random. I also got some from a rare spawn (don't remember the name), but I believe there are few of them that drop pet charms.

I did a random normal dungeon with the world quest up and it did drop for me. There was just one drop, haven't seen it drop for anyone else since.

I totally get what you are saying! All those poor peachicks, cats, and bunnies, plus Blizzard gave them a sad sounding death. I also really hate when I'm using my Pandaren Elementals and they die. The sound they make is quite sad as well. But we do what we gotta do to get the one we want. :cry: Than...
