The addition of Pet Battles has trivialized having a large collection....sure having over 150 pets a few months ago was great, now it seems a bit thin, not that there is anything wrong with a vast number of pets....just that they seem pretty generic considering that there are over 10 types of Rats.....

One thing to note is that certain achievements isn't marked off if you learn a caged pet, a case of that is the Veteran Nanny achievement with the Children's Week pets, you have to actually have your character learn the Base item for it to be marked off... Pet collection achievements still works pre...

Same here, made a Pandaren Monk a few days ago and got her to Stormwind after pledging my alliegence, i couldn't get the crane neither...haven't tried other races though, how long and winded does the Worgen area last anyway....as soon as you get your Worgen form or is there a definite end..?

If so, you'll probably have to progress far enough on the starter island to pick a Faction, unless the pet's you're speaking of happened to be something like Argent Tourney Pets or something weird?

You could always simply Cage them once MoP rolls about and give them to newer players, or you could fatten them up in levels and sell them in the AH to someone who's looking for a quick way through pet battles...?

Also having the ability to have upto 3 of the same pet could be viable for being able to farm...for rarer quality pets, if we wasn't allowed to have more than one, then it would be annoying tossing every pet out after every battle. I think one thing to keep in mind about RNG is that it's completely random, even moreso if its Layered RNG, sure it might be a 1 in X chance of getting Mr Pinchy, but that itself has a small chance of rewarding the Magical Clawdad, like i said, it's a layered sort of thing....
