Personally I love my Dark Whelpling for Dragonkin, but most of the rare dragons are pretty powerful. For Elemental though, I am all about the Phoenix Hatchling, you pop immolation, causing damage every time they attack, and then heal yourself, drawing it out and doing nice damage.
