For those who haven't heard the good news yet: Battle Pet BreedID was finally updated yesterday with all the breeds for 6.2.2 pets. My (trainer) life has a meaning once again.

I'm using Battle Pet BreedID but it's not being updated anymore and as you said most other addons aren't either.
Don't know what's going on but I'm really lost without an addon telling me the breed.

Which addon do you use to show breeds?

It seems as if the Battle Pet BreedID addon is no longer maintained which is pretty annoying considering that the last patch added quite a few pets.
Is there an alternative addon that shows breeds as conveniently?

Thanks for the kind offer but I've since bought it from the AH after realizing that it's much rarer than the other three.

I have gotten doubles of Periwinkle Calf, Zangar Spore and Nightmare Bell but Seaborne Spore refuses to drop.
If anyone has a spare Seaborne Spore I'd offer all the other three in exchange in order to finally be done with those pet battles.

This is mostly useful if you don't care for breeds. If you do though it's a gamble. It's the main reason why caged pets are usually more expensive as you know exactly what you will be getting.
Very good for single-breed pets though.

Thanks for that video, Caega! With this it's actually much easier than I thought it would be. I even got stuck a few times, so the run doesn't have to be perfect in order to make it within 20 tolls.

The only one I saw so far was level 10 or so, so I thought that might be the problem. I'm using the same addon so it's good to know that it works.

Could it be that the breed can't be properly recognized by addons at level 1 and will only show after the pet was leveled a bit?

Nothing because the WoW servers will be offline.

It seems to work similar to the Proto-Drake Whelp so there is a possibility that it's cageable as well.

I highly doubt that the pet will be the same as they would lose quite a few virtual ticket sales from pet collectors I think.
