Wow I was just going to post to ask the same question about the battle stones, I have received 5 stones, ever. And I do the dailies and wild fights to level pets. I was beginning to wonder if there was a strategy I was missing, apparently I am just really really unlucky. LOL

Another thanks to Mowse, I got my pet today at level 20. Just needed to sell some auctions to get the gold, lol.
