Re: Rate that comp!
You have to be patient when facing off against another Valk. I have a H/H because it's what I got and learned the hard way about mistiming the Haunt. I am more than happy to let them Haunt my Valk while I spam the Slot 1 ability and then Doom and Haunt their next pet if possible. I am now running an...

Details of a two pet, 4 round combo with link to Youtube to see it in action.

Same basic setup I use for the 2 beast Celestials in the tournament also.

A [pet]Tiny Harvester[/pet] was a massive part of my Pet journey (hence it is my avatar). I got it very early (Level 3-4 from Westfall) and it was one if, if not the first one to get to 25. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy any pet worth more than 100g or so until they are really into it. See if they ...

Re: Battle Stones
My RNG has dried up also. I usually get one per hour or so grinding wild pets and about one plus per night of Pandaria Tamers and Beast of Fable. Since maintenance I've got ZERO.
Maybe we are both being unlucky or maybe something has changed.

Re: Pet Battle quests
Maybe you need to go back to the Pet Tamer in the capital city (SW or Org)? Most of the tamers quests (not dailies) seem to be able to be picked up there.
I just muddled my way through those quests without taking much note of when they started or ended and in what order they happened.

Re: PvP Combo's
I gave up fighting against the Val'kyr and started using one myself. I'm still messing with the other slots a little bit, but for PvP the Val'kyr is very handy.
I did a fight against a Ruby Droplet on the weekend and found them very OP. I MUST GET ONE!!!!

Re: The "Bear" essentials on low level leveling
I will need someone to confirm this, but I am pretty sure the total xp gained is shared between all eligible pets (alive and not max level) so it's the same total whether it is one lowbie pet or two lowbie pets. Therefore it takes the same number of fights to get 2 pets to max level if you do them i...

Re: How I beat the two Beast Celestials - thoughts on strats
I use basically the same team for both. A clockwork gnome and 2 of any of the Zandalari Dinos with Black Claw and Hunting Party. They are cheap now and so, so good. Get some of each, some fast and some strong and you will love them. The gnome rarely takes much damage and should survive both fights w...

Re: Collected Celestial Tournament Undercard Strategy
Great idea and thanks for the effort. There are obviously many ways to do each tamer. I have found that knowing (or having a cheat sheet to tell you) what pet attacks types are strong against the tamers pets makes the approach to these fights pretty simple, as long as you have good numbers of max le...

Re: Celestial Tournament 101-Week 3-sept.24 [US and EU tips]
I believe the Tournament will become trivial very quickly. Even from week one, I felt the random tamers were a little bit easy. Pick pets that are strong against their pets and can maybe avoid a hit or too and there was little problem. Apart from some frustrations against Yu'la, it was pretty smooth...

Chi-Chi: (found strat on wowhead) Voodoo Figurine [Wild Magic/Rot] + Giant Sewer Rat [Stampede] Keep up Wild Magic, then when the death passive goes off, Rot Stampede with Giant Sewer Rat I put a snail in the third slot but I've never needed it. I will have to try this out. I was messing around wit...

Re: Little Tommy Newcomer
I've got this down to a pretty consistent 4 Round fight. Rnd 1 - Clockwork Gnome casts Turret and gets forced swap Rnd 2 - Zandalari .... casts Black Claw Rnd 3 - Zandalari .... casts Hunting Party Rnd 4 - 2nd Part of Hunting Party and Oon dies usually with several of the massively buffed bullets o...

Re: Dusty (whispering pandaren spirit battle)
Anyone have some theories as to why Blizz originally made some of these pets families to be so counter intuitive. Why was a Moth anything other than Flying and why was a Ooze a Critter instead of Magic?
Simply gameplay reasons?

Re: Celestial Tournament which pet to get next?
You'll get them all eventually so you won't regret any decision for longer than 3 weeks.
I got Chi-Chi too which has been fun and has a nice mix of abilities (avoidance/heal and attack). Not OP though from what I can see.

Re: High Priority Pets to lvl (please add to this if you wan
Seems a very complete list. The only one I would add that I use a lot in the Tourney and against Lil Tommy is a Clockwork Gnome. A little hard to get but well worth it. The Turret > Black Claw > Shattered Defense from Hunting Party combo is devastating. Also, there might be one in the list already b...

Re: WASTEWALKER SHU
I am looking for a new strat after repeated problems with the P/P Zand and Chrom setup. I clean up the crab first up no problem, but have no way to avoid the Whirlpool so it hits either the Zand or the Chromie. If the Whirlpool hits the Chromi (which I'm pretty sure it should) and he gets stunned by...

Re: Little Tommy Newcomer
The basic combo I use for Tommy, the Celestial Cat and Bull is: Turret Swap Black Claw Hunting Party or Swap back for another turret. Cleans up Tommy without using the 3rd Pet and has done well so far on the Celestials (early days so hard to see if RNG has played a part for or against me) Just seems...

Re: Celestial Tournament 101
Had my first look at the tourny last night. Went in without looking at guides for the challenge of it. All I heard was that it was hard. In the end I was pretty stoked with how well it went. One shotted the three tamers, just using pets that were strong against their pets. Goldbloom (Bird, Beast, Ma...
