Battle stones can be 1 - 2K depending on server. I do which it had a break in it though. Not so I could heal but just so I could stop. So many other things to do sometimes.

It was a very fun affect to use and watch. I agree that there were many many ways to counter or not be affected by the attack in pvp, pve though was awesome to watch.

I believe this is the same type of "glitch" that imo the Sapphire Cub is a rare item but then the battle pet is uncommon. The hyacinth is an epic item, but rare when learned.

Think of it like armor. When you purchase it from a vendor it's common, when it's created by a profession it's uncommon. Some earned via questing and quest rewards and reputation (vendor) very between Uncommon and Rare. As of right now, I think they there isn't any intention of making profession pet...

I noticed that Viscidus pet drop the boss can't die unless frozen. Shamans, Hunters, Mages, and DK's have froze type abilities that are known to work. Also mentioned is Frost Oil, and an enchant "Deathfrost" helps. This might be guide or article worthy.
