Re: Overlooked awesome pets
Two pets I use fairly often and have never faced as far as I remember are:- Tideskipper-H/S I generally run him with Crush, Tidal Wave, Geyser. I like the variety of damage types, his aquatic racial is good for soaking those pesky valks (don't geyser 1st round...they almost always curse first, then ...

Re: I cannot get ANY trainers to give me quests.
If you abandoned the quest chain halfway through, the quest will be on the last tamer you did. Go to achievements, pet battles, find 'Taming Eastern Kingdoms' for ally, 'Taming Kalimdor' for horde and see what tamers you have marked completed on whichever of those. One of those tamers will have the ...

Yeah water spirit actually got easier with the change, now I just leave my wildhammer gryphon hatchling in the whole fight, apart from switching the carry in for 1st round of ele. Thundering no real change either, I just switched from sunreaver vs his ooze to scourged whelpling with tail sweep now i...

While it's maybe not the fastest, never really looked how many rounds, I've stuck with the same team from the start on this guy, Wildhammer Gryphon Hatchling and Emperor Crab. Wildhammer Gryphon-peck, peck, lift-off for whirlpool, crab dead if lift-off hits otherwise peck. Peck the ele til your bird...

I just used sunreaver (anything with lightning storm would work), clockwork gnome(as 2nd!), any mech.
lightning storm>he switches gnome in, turret, punch, punch, turret, both die, 3rd pet is just backup.

Re: any pets going away in 5.4?
What he means is that since it only drops from LFR and LFR is only available for raids in the current expansion, it won't have anywhere to drop come 6.0. Although I'm of the opinion that when they release the next expac, they'll put the LFR only pets onto the normal loot tables myself, this is just ...

Re: Direhorn nerf?
Thing is Azrile, the brain-dead way is what they'll be restricted to now if they take the usual abilities. Charge, Horn Attack and Primal Cry all have CD's, so there's really going to be nothing in the way of tactics using one, you'll often only have 1 ability off cd to use. And taking the other abi...

This. Xu-fu for me since I'm an achievement addict!Luciandk wrote:Another thing of note. 5.4 introduces the Crazy Cat Man/Lady title, requiring you to have collected 20 unique cats. If you dont have any tcg or blizzstore cats, then you will need Xu-Fu as your 20th kitty.

Re: Just Realized that Pierre/Rascal-Bot is BOP & not tradea
wow, that is pretty rough. And I believe each takes 15 of the jade things, which is a daily cd thing.. so it will take a month to have both? And then start on the mount? that is a tough call, the price of the mounts will probably plummet quickly after that initial 30 days is up. But man, I finally ...

Re: Direhorn nerf?
As I've mentioned before, there's also a 'stealth' nerf that affects direhorns, Horn Attack and other 'interrupt' abilities like Kick, Backflip ect will proc Resilient in 5.4 So, Primal Cry>Horn Attack (proc)> Charge> Horn Attack (Resilient buff immunity to proc). The charge cd means you would have ...

Re: Is there any point in keeping Polished Battle Stones?
As far as I am concerned, there is no point to upgrading just to uncommon. You are going to have to use a flawless stone on the pet to be able to really use it anyway... and those work on poor quality just as well as uncommon. Generally correct with just 1 exception imo, for fresh pet battlers to g...

Re: What am I allowed to play?
I get a kick out of people who talk about certain things being OP. Last time I checked, about 50 different pets are being significantly nerfed in 5.4 I just find it ironic that you point out two (imp and direhorns) as OP.. what about sandstorm, lightning storm etc etc.. and the 20 other switch pets...

Re: PvP Achievement: Easiest/Fastest way?
^It's not that common for people to just leave unless it's someone you've already beaten I find. While stacking a counter team may work occasionally, most direhorn teams to use the current best example aren't 3 direhorns, the smarter players plan for exactly this and run some variant of 2x direhorns...

Re: What am I allowed to play?
Lightning is being nerfed too. I say play by the rules. The ones the game has, not the ones you pick. In my opinion: AFK is abuse. Playing by the rules is not abuse. AFKing isn't against any rules either. So feel free to play your stall team and I'll feel free to afk. There are no rules against spe...

Re: What am I allowed to play?
There's certain pets that are currently OP and certain pets that are just plain annoying. You're certainly 'allowed' to play anything you wish, however Direhorns, 333 speed Fiendish Imps may cause people to go afk because they feel you're abusing overtuned pets. Anubis Idols, Magical Crawdads and so...
