You can also check into the pets (usually aquatic) that have surge as a move, the move always goes first.

Also some critters have Powerball, which increases speed with every attack.

I would open a ticket (which can take forever to get responded to) and let the GM's know about the issue you are facing, sometimes WoW does that and needs to be spanked hard for it.

Impressed, may have to try that out, although in most of my Pet Battles, I have yet to run into a runt type or any others which are listed as popular.... Maybe the group of people I go against are horrible.....(so am I since I lose... lol)

I have to say before patch 5.3 I only got 1 battle stone out of 50+ battles with trainers. After I started pet battling during 5.3 I have already received 4 stones out of roughly 30 pet tamer battles. So I think it is in effect, just keep going after tamers and you should get some stones. Yeah as everyone said that is the issue, I did a Legendary Trainer battle and then battled wild pets and saw 3 legendaries appear, (which got me excited) and then they went to their original box and disappointment settled in.

Thank you shakes for the information, I am going to use that myself since I am not to great at PvP portions of Pet Battles.

I had the same thing happen in a pet battle and I thought it was Lil Rag, but the tamer had 2 other fire types and utilized a rotation of them with multiple dots and multi attack moves. Needless to say I lost fairly quickly, but I am not that good at PvP either, so wasn't too beat up about it. hehe
