I had an odd experience. I was able to do it on two in Stormwind, and then could not do it on any others there. Then I went to Dalaran and I could do it. I bet this is a programming bug.

Try Ravenholdt (US), a PVP/RP server without CRZ. This realm was my source for rare spawn pets.

Since 5.4, Farmer Nishi is not an easy tamer (she used to be my carry pet leveling tamer). Her sunflower keeps healing and even my P/P crab can't win. What pets and strategies have folks used for Nishi after 5.4? Any help will be very much appreciated.

Agreed..I can never get enough space. I get rid of all the "vanity" pet stuff, like leashes and biscuits that change the pet size. I only keep bandages.

Thank you! So, I think I understand..I will be able to pick up the quest when I actually enter the raid instance...I assume its available at the entry to the instance, like the quests in a regular dungeon? Or does the quest just appear on the pet after I kill the last guy?

A unique pet is a unique pet. Gotta catch 'em all! :mrgreen: Gotta catch one of each of all. Duplicates are useless unless you need them for some specific battle plan, and that feels a bit like cheating anyway. If it has its own listing on my in-game pet panel, it is unique. Heck, there are a dozen...

Does anyone know how to get the quest "An Old Friend" that allows one to get the "yourname 'Aka" Lashtail Hatchling pet? I completed the Stanglethorn quest chain through "Be Raptor" and its turn-in, but the quest giver did not offer me the Troll raid quest "An Old Friend". My guild is planning a run...

I see a stone about once in 20 bags, and I have never seen a Porcupette (or any pet). I was actually wondering if they had discontinued including pets in the bags. Mostly I see collars and hairballs. Treats get thrown out, bandages and stones are kept, everything else is vendored.

I used to get 2-3 stones per day, but the last 10 days have only given me 0-1 per day. This is probably just RNG, but its annoying. There have been no unmarked stones, and I used to get one of these every day or two. I imagine that Blizzard watches the overall drop rates carefully, and adjusts them ...

Of course, unless a person has a significant number of data points (>30 is required for statistical significance), all comments are simply opinion. Nevertheless, my own experience has led me to avoid anything with less than 100% hit probability, because anything else is bound to miss when I need it ...

Thank goodness! It is enough of a grind to just level 400+ pets to 25. If Blizzard had turned the pet game into another gear race it would have been very unpleasant for those of us who use pet battles as a relaxing distraction from the more "serious work" of WoW.

For the last 5 days, I have received one stone per day, doing all of the trainer battles. This may be bad rng, but with a sample of 5 days, it seems valid for me.

I get the most use out of Darkmoon Zeppelin. This pet solo's trainers, even taking out pets that are not its specialty.

Unfortunately, I find that for most things, it is faster to raise the gold than to try to get drops.
