You don't really need that <Any Ability> for your pet to receive XP.
Only when you change pet because your previous pet has died, or when you start with the leveling pet, then you need to do an ability.

your pet choices to go with lofty libram will depend on how you plan to use it, AoE team or single target. Didn't test it, but I assume spells like Magma wave, Clean up,... will get rid of the mines too.

Hit chance in pet battles is a bit broken imo.
If you use a pet that has demolish, I suggest you use demolish. It will outdamage the alternative

You can usually predict somewhat when your pet's going to die. so just forfeit the match before it dies. I don't think that makes the achievement fail.
