Re: Your favourite low key PVP pet
I'm very fond of the crocolisks . A team of three of them named after Sex and the City characters is my goto fun team. Back in the day, undead pets seemed to be everywhere and everyone had an Unborn Val'kyr as their first unit. For that reason and because it tore triple sunflower teams apart, it was...

Re: Yay! Just got my Blizzcon 2016 murloc today! :D ♥
It's unfortunate that they have distinctly different abilities. Yes, half are the same, but half are not. That means that if you play characters in both factions, now you have a pet that isn't available when you're playing some of your characters, so if you had it saved on a particular team, oh well...

Odrogg weirdness or Family Familiar change?
This evening I took my max level non-world-quest-unlocked character over to Odrogg. I could not challenge him. I brought over a character with world quests unlocked and that character could. Does anyone know if something changed, or if Odrogg is in some way special, or if perhaps I'm just having som...

Re: Overlooked awesome pets
Frosty I love Frosty! He is a fun pet for PvP, and can take some damage. Being undead is a plus (unless you run into critters), and he is a good addition to a Blizzard team. I have him on an odd ball setup team (not a Blizzard team), and for some reason I used to win a lot of matches. It's been a w...

Re: Pvp Battles + Newbie = Torture
When I was just starting out with pvp battles, I discovered that at certain times there were a lot more people playing. If you do your pvp battles at a time when a lot of people are doing them, you'll run into a wider variety of skill levels and teams. That really helped me get a wider range of expe...

Re: Beginner's Guide to World of Daily Tamers by Bustergut
Additionally, we do have a beginner's guide that uses only two pets. It is indeed a bit dated (5.3), but has remained a good guide despite changes to pet battling since: http://www.warcraftpets.com/community/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4580 I absolutely loved this guide. You could learn a lot from f...

Fleeing in PvP pet battles
Up against another player, when do you flee? I pretty much never flee. The few exceptions are generally RL-prompted. My personal reasoning is that: 1) I like pet battles, so I like doing them even when the odds look bad. 2) Fleeing towards the end doesn't really save a lot of time...and I might get ...

Name any other game that last 15 years. Everquest came out in early 1999 and will be releasing its 21st expansion later this year. It not only survived WoW coming out, it survived its own sequel coming out. I haven't played it regularly since 2000, but people still do. I have no special insight, bu...

Re: The Murkapult
Murkalot probably needs some adjustment. Sure, I seem to have a ridiculous win-loss ratio this weekend. I'm sure once the devs get back from BlizzCon they'll start working on something. However, I see that some people here did the same thing I did, just slotted Murkalot into what was already an argu...

Re: Reflective Shield
I had a fight end in a draw when my opponent's last pet(something) hit my last pet(Murkalot with shield up) for enough that the damage killed my pet and half the damage killed his pet. But it doesn't always work. For example, I thought I was going to be quite clever and intentionally stand there wit...

Re: Tiggindy's advice for pet leveling
How does this work? Bombing Run and Explode are opposite choices. How does the leveling pet get XP? I believe that's a small error, it should say Rocket instead of Bombing Run. The leveling pet gets xp because it is the only pet left at the end, so it is switched in automatically. I can confirm tha...

Re: Multiple or Single Team?
I have more than one team, but often I'll play a given team over and over once I create it, until I get bored. I got lucky doing fishing quests and got two more baby crocolisks a few days ago. I leveled them up and created a themed baby crocolisk team. I haven't used anything else since, but I'm sur...
