Re: The One Million Gold Pet
I'm really not a fan of the massive price. Historically, that has seemed more like a mount thing, and I hate to see it extending to other types of vanity items. Pet collecting and the community has always had more of a focus on the collection part, and the mounts have been more for status (raid & PV...

Re: Pet Battle Royale - Cast Your Vote (May)
I gotta go with Snuffles because his howl is the critical part of the strategy, and he's got surge of power as a back up nuke for team howlbomb.

Re: Collect Graves...how???
I am up to level 17 and have kind of run out of steam on HotS. I need to just suck it up and finish the grind. The game is kind of fun... I have some friends who play it on occasion and it's a lot more fun than the AI if you can play with friends who are also speaking to you on voice chat, that's my...

The game is all right. Playing it with friends has really made it grow on me. It helps as you start to learn what the strengths of various heroes are and where they fit into strategies for each map. Currently level 15.

I don't know how this would hold up outside the pet battle holiday weekend, but I often run with three S/S bunnies and they do very well against undead heavy teams. Plus, beating a fancy pet like Graves with bunnies just makes me smile.

Re: Post on Pet Battle Participation
This really doesn't surprise me. I am a diehard pet collector and I can't bring myself to suffer through the 250 PvP wins to get the Stunted Direhorn. The PvP battle system to me feels very rock-paper-scissors and is in general, pretty boring. You can't even use your favorite pets or fun themed team...

Re: Why aren't we fighting against other players?
Honestly, if PvP pet battles were available as a mini game on my phone a-la Hearthstone, I'd probably play them much more. When I sit down at the computer to actually play WoW there are so many more things I find more fun. I do notice that there are many more people doing the PvP battles during the ...

Re: How did your event weekend go?
I didn't do much leveling, I already had over 300 pets at 25 and have slowed down a lot on trying to finish up the rest of my collection. BUT, I did get brave and did try PvP pet battling for the first time - much more enjoyable than I'd expected, and my win rate was pretty good!

Re: 6.2 Elfuego's Tanaan Legends Guide
Elfuego, I always enjoy your take on battle strategies! My standard approach to all of these legendary guys is: Unborn Val'kyr Pygmy Direhorn Emerald Proto-Whelp Start with Val'kyr -> Doom (shadow slash as needed to burn a turn if legendary has a dodge) -> Unholy Ascension Swap in Direhorn -> Trihor...

Re: Strategy For Chi-Chi?
Thread res, but thanks for this discussion. Just salvaged a CT run that had bad RNG with my Valk with this team:
Pandaren Water Spirit
Alpine Foxling (any pet with howl would do)
Rapana Whelk (any snail)
geyser
whirlpool
howl
acidic goo
dive
WIN!

Re: Celestial Tourn. Guide
I have found this guide to be mostly reliable: http://www.wowpetbattle.com/celestialtournament.html. Some of the strategies under An Awfully Big Adventure Guide on that site are helpful, too. There are a couple of fights which make use of a somewhat "exotic" pet, and you might need/want to look up a...

In my very limited experience, get the S/S. Going first is a huge advantage and will make or break some strategies.Kel wrote:My Dancer is P/S. Do I bother getting the S/S, or just go with it?

Well that's pretty irritating. I hope they fix the bug asap and revert the xp nerf. It is quite irritating to not get any exp for a battle I can only do once per day. Honestly, I wish they'd make the other garrison battles only once per day as well and bring back the exp bonus. If I'm going to do a ...

Advice for PvP newbie
Hi friends! I've been thinking about giving PVP battles a try, but am a little overwhelmed as to where to start for a team. I have a pretty large pet collection, can go get whatever breeds leveled that might be helpful, etc., and honestly that's the part that's kind of overwhelming. Does anyone have...
