Re: champions of pandaria
I'm not sure if it's an option for you to obtain and level new pets, but if so, I've had very good success against Zhu with a s/s fiendish imp (1,1,2), a h/h scourged whelpling (2,2,1), and a h/p infected squirrel (2,2,1). Start out with the imp vs the guy who does critter damage. Immolate and burn ...

Re: my combat trio
Since you're at the point where you'll be wanting to level a lot of pets, it's worth noting that many trainers can be beaten with 2 pets while using the 3rd slot for a carry pet to level. As much as a pain as Payne can be, he can be 2-petted. I've had the least amount of frustration using a Corefire...

Running my clone dancer team, I open with my blighthawk cycloning, then naturally swap to jademist dancer for acid rain=>raindance=>steam vent x2. Looking back on it, it may have been helpful to have recognized the fact that my opponent had an aquatic out there, just begging to eat a slicing wind or...

Idol heals if he causes damage--humanoid passive.
I have turnip, emerald proto-whelp, and xu-fu. Xu-fu has vengeance, jic the turnip fails to get the object pet into cageable range, and xu-fu and the whelp are able to solo most wild threesomes, if necessary.

Re: Verified pvp pet battle teams
Semi-retired for the past few months, but i logged on last weekend and this to find my bread and butter team working just fine for 10 wins. The only troubles i had were a murkalot team and a mech dragon team. Still, beat that second team twice after the one loss... bb Unborn val, speedy rabbit (357)...

Re: PVP help~
Murkalot has an attack called falling murloc. It stuns after using it. But I'd already been stun the previous turn so I had resiliance (immune to stuns, etc for two rounds.) So, I thought that have resilience would make me immune to the stun that follows the ability of falling morluc but it still s...

Re: Stuck on Brok
I've tried combos of dragonkin, beast and mechanical, but Often the best dragonkin damage will come from Scorched Earth. Brok is minimalized by a scorched earth/flame breath elemental like a Fel Flame (2,2,1), a beastie type (zandalari anklerender or most other beasts), and a clockwork gnome, or so...

Re: Last 100 stretch
Great job Vek. I pretty much retired a couple months ago with ~640 to go. Maybe I'll hit it up in the expansion again. Why don't you try an oldie but goodie I had a lot of fun with back in 5.1 or so: s/s Alpine Hare (or any 357 rabbit), s/s Silver Dragonhawk Hatchling, and s/s Molten Hatchling. It m...

Stonecold Trixie in Winterspring, Bloodknight Antari in Shadowmoon Valley, and Major Payne in Icecrown are the others that award bags.

Re: PvP teams
Oops, just noticed I wrote it down wrong... it's supposed to be 1-5 (so 5 losses). And will try both of your tactics and see how it pans out. Will level Xu-Fu as well, since I like the pet anyways (based on looks, haven't seen it battle). That makes more sense :P It's March Madness! Get those win-l...

Re: Complete Celestial Tournament Walkthru and Pet list
After this you basically keep up Acidic Goo and use Dive every time Chi-Chi's dodge ability comes up (every 4 turns I believe) to minimise 'wasted' turns. Sort of. Ethereal has a 3 round cd, so Chi-Chi will dodge before your dive is off cd. But that's okay! I've been doing this for the past few mon...

Re: Battle with that pet
Play with your Spectral Porcupette! I can see why you like this guy. He's not really my style, mind you, but certainly comes with a set of tools to use! I started with spirit spikes and illusionary barrier, but that's so passive I dumped it nearly immediately for a powerball/spectral strike/spectra...

Re: Can’t repeat Pandaren Spirit Tamer fights
Your average pet level is 15.4. That's not too bad... over half way there. I was around there at New Years. Doing all the Pandaria dailies just about every day, and I have 14 pets left at lvl 23/24 (I could have done them today, but was focused on other things). Bonus, while doing those bag-rewardin...

Re: Help choosing a flier
You're not going to use too many fliers for dailies to level your pets up, which is what I assume you want to do first. The Crow/Raven mentioned is very strong in pvp, and I even use a Crow for murder in the CT and to clean up against Aki and Nishi, and 2 crows and a raven for all the aquatic beasts...

Tuatha speed is king show me the speed of the Cheeta Cub, and pray you face some critters. Blech. I used the Cheetah Cub last week and, as far as I recall, was reasonably successful with it (at or near 50% win percentage). The problem is I waited so long to write this up I completely forgot how the...

Re: Need a Sudden Death mechanic?
http://wowpedia.org/Dampening absolute max of an arena game is 20 minutes. With dampening, it shouldn't last past 10 or 15 I haven't arena'd in quite a while, thanks for the update. Again, I'm in favor of a sudden death mechanic leading to a draw. I just think 50 rounds is premature, since some via...

Re: Need a Sudden Death mechanic?
I have been in many battles that have gone more than 50 turns, even more than 100 turns, where there was no intent to stall 100 rounds are you kidding me for pet battling? 100 rounds isn't stalling? I guess I don't see why that is met with such derision. Maybe "many" is overstating it, but yes, I h...

Re: Need a Sudden Death mechanic?
what? how is 50 or 60 rounds not enough time to win in? how is that possibly cramping ones play style to have some sort of debuff to start happening after then? last time I checked all bosses have enrage timers. how in the world is pet battle that lasts longer than 50 to 60 rounds fun? and even the...

Adding to that, back when they ignored all weather effects the elemental racial was so weak Blizzard considered completely changing it to something like a 50% damage reduction on the turn they swapped in . They went with allowing the elemental to benefit from helpful aspects of weather, but as menti...
