Re: Query: Sandstorm accuracy
I haven't done PvP battles in over a year, but around that time there was a lot of trouble with hit chance. For example, pets hitting while blinded, Demolish landing way more than 40% of the time under Sandstorm. I'm not sure if this ever got fixed or not but it might go some way to explaining what...

Re: Query: Sandstorm accuracy
Just one little note: While people discuss RNG, and everyone assumes that results are random because of the use of "random number generators", in normal applications there really is no such thing as a truly random computer generated number. If you program and read the documentation on those function...

Re: Sunflowers and Crawdad
Just a hint ... Xu-Fu will solo Sunflower teams ... admittedly it takes a while. However, he does more damage than them and heals to full health on cooldown. So every swap the sunflowers have slightly less health.

Re: What to do with Extra Stones?
You can also look for alternate breeds of wild pets without having to actually capture a rare. Once I got my collection to "all rare" I found that there were several wild pets that I could really used a different breed for. Or as mentioned, you can get green pets that auction, stone them, even level...

Re: What Quintessence strategy do you use?
The gist of the above is the best I have too. Unfortunately its success is at the mercy of whether Q gets 3 procs on its attack twice in a row against either the Water Spirit or Chrominius. At times I've had to do the battle a fifth time before getting a reasonable number of procs from Q. Of all the...

Re: Question: How Important is Breeding?
I mostly worry about breed in connection with maximizing what you want out of a certain pet. For example, with a tank pet like a turtle, I want lots of health, so I look for a Guardian breed. With flying pets, they already have the racial speed bonus, so I consider that a speed breed is wasted. I wa...

Re: 6.1 changes
What bugs me is that all of the "up high" abilities (Devastate, Lift-Off, Launch, Meteor Strike, Proto-Strike) don't do ANY damage now. What's the point of having them if there's no pay-off? I would strongly suppose that 0 damage from Lift Off is a mistake in replication (of some sort). Notice that...

Re: 6.1 changes
That's odd considering they were so proud of their algorithm that concentrated ranged damage towards the high and low ends of the range, largely avoiding average damage. Now they are changing those attacks to only do average damage. LOL
Thanks for the link.

Re: Mistfall Village Pet Leveling area...
I think the OP is probably referring to the little plateau area with five pet spawns and no monsters. For 88+ characters, the area down at the creek is indeed more productive than the plateau, as there are something like nine spawn points and you don't even often get aggro from the crocs. Just as a ...

Re: Garrison dailies that don't use the undead valk?
If you have any type of real pet collection, you don't need the Undead Valk for any of the fights. Sure, you can get by without one. But if you have one, that combo of Doom + Haunt is powerful. And in PvP I win about 90% with my team that leads off with one. Except, you know, no strategies for any ...

Use wind up, toxic smoke, wind up to kill Scraggs - then wind up, super charge, wind up to kill Stings.
Let a trainee pet take the stun from Scraggs, then swap in the Starlette.

Re: Grubbles, Scrags, Stings - Carry Strategy
You need a very specific breed of Flayer Youngling (which is hard to come by), whereas the Lil' Bad Wolf you can use all but one breed, and in the Anub strat there is only 1 breed. I *think* the flayer breed doesn't matter as much because you aren't leveraging the speed. Deflection goes first and a...

Re: Garrison dailies that don't use the undead valk?
While I use my Val'kyr in that fight, I also used to use the Blighthawk and Ghostly Skull, both of which dominate the field when they are up. So while I haven't tried it, you very well might have an easy time of that fight with those two undead plus another good strong undead. The Blighthawk has a l...

Re: Grubbles, Scrags, Stings - Carry Strategy
That's why I really appreciate that people post strategies with various pet combinations, as sometimes I don't have the breed, or level 25 in a certain pet, specified in one. Just as a note, in doing last week's Celestial Tournament with a Plushie, there was a strategy published using a S/S Flayer Y...

Check the bottom of the other thread. Flayer Youngling + Iron Starlette is an easier, faster fight with no risk and no decisions.

Re: Grubbles, Scrags, Stings – Leveler Strategy
Thanks to Vaxxus on Wowhead for yet another team, which is similar to the one just above. His uses a P/S Flayer Youngling as the first pet, and P/P Iron Starlette second. I used a straight Power Iron Starlette, as my P/P (Destruction) is not leveled. Starting with the Flayer: 1. Deflect 2. Rampage 3...

King and Queen Floret two pet strategy
I've enjoyed reading the "two pet" strategies here for the garrison trainer dailies. I didn't see one today so I thought I'd share what I used. First, your trainee pet may have to take a big hit, so this fight is best served for trainee pets that have 1000+ health. You might get by with a pet with 5...
