I am actually glad that this is level based. I was dreading it would require you to win 3 quick matches or something, which I tried once and never again. I just did coop this entire time and I still got to lvl 20

I think the Murloc will be themed from something that will be released either at the end of this year a month or two after the event or the next year. For example, Grunty came from Blizzcon 2009 and Starcraft 2 released the next year. Deathy came from Blizzcon 2010 and Cataclysm dropped in December ...
