Thanks, I will have to check what the add on shows, it may be that I missed seeing them as I was excited one other than (b/b) appeared.

Was in Loch Modan last night looking for the Little Black Ram, and between the ingame hours of 10pm - 11pm I found and fought about 40 of these. (Ok not totally true, I killed 4 of them as I could not for the life of me figure where to stand to fight them) These included respawns. I'm also not the only person who has seen them "at night".

It makes me think either 1) they spawn really randomly and people just have bad luck, 2) they have spawn conditions yet undiscovered, or 3) I have no idea heh

I do however think the tag their entry has of "they only spawn during the day" is inaccurate.

Forgot to post this. Was getting ready for bed and decided to check on the Arctic Fox Kit on Tuesday around 11:45 pm on Lightbringer. I had my druid parked at the inn in Storm Peaks and even though there wasn't any falling snow, I decided to take a quick look outside. Sure enough right outside the inn I saw a little green paw. I quickly swooped down and caught it thinking this was left over from a blizzard because there was no falling snow in sight. I decided to check on the Scourged Whelpling and flew just about another 100 yards and there was another paw. I flew the entire zone and there was absolutely no falling snow. There was plenty of them and they were even respawning. I have a pretty decent graphics card and it's set to ultra with a 24" HD monitor. I've read other posts so I made sure I was on the ground and waited a bit just in case the snow needed to draw in. Perhaps this was a bug. Not sure so make sure you fly around a bit even if it doesn't look like it's snowing.

Blizz should have a weather reporter npc or someone should at least make an addon that shows what the weather is in others areas :)

I just realized... Shouldn't this thread be in the "Pet Collecting" forum instead of the battle forum? :D

You might be right! Except wild pets are unique in nature in that they do require battling before capture. So it's a toss up between "collecting" and "battling" lol.

Since this thread originated here, we'll leave it in this section for now. I'm not sure this thread will be necessary in the near future, anyway. :)

Can someone confirm the Qiraji Guardling spawn dates have ended? Looks like I just missed this one, sigh.

Both the Snowy Owl and Qiraji Guardling follow the "real life" seasons now (Northern Hemisphere).

Summer ended September 21, which was the last day the guardling spawned for this year.

Winter starts December 21, which should be the first day the Snowy Owl spawns for 2013. We'll see what happens when the date arrives. :)

Doing the Unborn Val'kyr circuit I've found snow in Storm Peaks several times recently. Get your fox. I've got mine.

Here are the dates of the seasons:

Northern Hemisphere
Spring: 1 March to 31 May
Summer: 1 June to 31 August
Autumn: 1 September to 30 November
Winter: 1 December to 28 February

Those are incorrect for battle pets. Seasons follow the equinox/solstice pattern for battle pets (currently snowy owl and qiraji guardling).

I have found these starting around 6 pm server time. Not sure how late they continue to spawn, I got a rare within a couple of hours and left the area then.

I *think* there are only two pets to add to this list from Legion: the two mana voids in Azsuna. Possibly one of the bats is night only as well...?
