(US Madoran Horde) Mardis Gras!! Tourney

Laissez les bon temps rouler! For those of you who don't know Mardi Gras, that means "Let the good times roll!" Tuesday, March 4th is Mardi Gras and to celebrate we are having a party and a theme pet battle! Get out your best ball gowns or your craziest parade outfit and let's get crazy! The pet battles are open to all families, but each pet has to be either gold/yellow, green, or purple. Whoever wins will be crowned king! So come if nothing else to dress up and get drunk, after all, isn't that what Mardi Gras is all about?! Now, if I could just figure out how to make a king cake...

I'm still trying to decide on a good location, any and all suggestions are welcome!

That's the definitive yell to get beads tossed your way from a float! I've only been to Mardis Gras once and that was many, many years ago. So long ago, in fact, that at that time they were still throwing a lot of strands of glass beads off the floats (I have several that I cherish). Treasures, they were, but they sure hurt if you got hit in the head with them!

Anyway... I'll be there, with beads on!

Again this sounds really fun!! The Pet list sounds great too!

Any idea on the time? Being this is on a Tuesday, please be mindful for those that work. I'm thinking 8pm servertime to catch those of us on the west coast? Unless this will be a Sat tournament

Galliwix's Pleasure Palace? (At least that is what I remember it being called!) Kewl, that's where the first tourney I went to with the guild was!

Great ideas guys! I think the Pleasure Palace is a great idea! I'm not 100%, but I think the tourney is at 7 server time. I can definitely ask around and see if people are ok changing it to either 730 or 8

Going to assume from all the comments that if I aim for 7:30 I might make the tourney, since most seem unconfident about 7, and more about 8. Here's to hoping.

We had it, I'm not sure exactly when we started but it was close to 7 probably. I'm sorry you missed it, I guess all the ones there had gone or just didn't see you asking. We had about a dozen dueling & some just watching.

There's just so much chatting that goes on in guild, it can be hard to keep up on it all. Especially while running an event like a tournament, I know I personally end up missing at least 60% of guild chat because it's just so much going on. I think Greenwall is also causing those who haven't gotten around to installing it to miss out on a lot of what's going on.

I guess the tourney was at 7pm Eastern time, right? Because when I got home at 5pm Pacific time (after I got off work early) it seemed like I was too late. Not to mention it not being held at a place where a lower lvl guy could get to.

it was at 7 server, 8 eastern. And we always have summons available, so you don't need to worry about being able to get there
