Get Down on the Farm Pet Battle Tournament

Hello! Lets all meet at the Rocktusk Farm outside the front gates of Orgrimmar for a little fun! The pets to battle with will be only pets that people have as pets in real life. If you want to dress up (or down in this case) and bring your own moonshine, come take a break from plowing and harvesting! Sorry the wagon is broke so no hayrides at this time
Battlers will use the same team in every match (no swapping) and the pets only need to get leveled to 15.

When: Sept 28th, 8pm server
What: A pet battle tournament! Level 15 pets. Double elimination if under 10 folks show, single if over that.
Who: Anyone over level 10 can come! This is open to <Magical Menagerie> and <Warcraft Pets> members, but you need to be level 10+ to join the raid group, and CRZ entrants can't receive prizes, so we prefer to avoid that.
Where: By the Rocktusk Farm outside of the front Gates of Orgrimmar.
Also: Pet switching *will not" be allowed between rounds.


Acceptable pets are as follows (list mostly based on pets that people have as pets in real life):

Most of the Birds - parrots, owls, chickens!
Cats - barnyard type cats. Mr. Bigglesworth is ok too
Dogs/wolves
Sheep
Pigs
Rabbits - except Darkmoon Rabbit, no one could keep him as a pet and survive! run away!
Snakes
Lizards
Fish
Turtles
Mice
Rats
Spiders - actually most of the "bug" type pets including fireflies and moths
Frogs
Monkeys
Skunks
Crabs
Snails
Crocodiles/alligators

Please ask me first if you have any suggestions for this list, or if I have forgotten anything. Catharane in MM, or Kalalilly in WCP

Questions
what level is entry level for pets?
Will we all start with the same level pets?
my lowest level pet is 8.

Also.. important to me and perhaps others.. is the time issue.
8 pm server time is 1am for me. is it possible to make an occasional 'Rocktusk Challenge' in the afternoon?

For this tournament all pets will be level 15, and since we don't get exp for duels, they will remain level 15 throughout. Not everyone has level 25 pets yet and I wanted to make this a little easier for people new to pet battling. Sorry about the time.
I will make the next tournament earlier in the day

Not sure if I'll be able to make it, but I'll try. Assuming you mean currently have as pets. Not pets we've had in the past (I could tell you about my pet turkey we had when I was a kid, he ended up being guest of honor for our Thanksgiving Dinner).

I like this theme, and hope it will be a great success.

I was actually intending for the pets in the tourney to be ones people more commonly keep/have as pets. Turkeys and penguins aren't allowed

So if we had dogs, cats, a gross aquarium filled with fish we had to clean weekly (the aquarium not the fish) and a parakeet that was in love with my brother, we can use any of them as long as they are level 15?
