Good news. You should be able to get 2 or more pets in-game before WoD. Of course, there is Pebble (which I will be happy to help you with... if fact, I just checked and it is up today. ), and then there is the Creepy Crate which you can get between October 18th and Nov 1st during Hallow's End.

Also, Plump Turkey will be obtainable between November 24th and Dec 1st during Pilgrim's Bounty... but that will be after WoD drops.

You wouldn't see it on the auction house actually. After you use the code it is Bind on Pickup.

I don't have one at the moment, but in the next few days I could pick one up and trade you the code. Is that "legal", trading the code for gold?

Yes, since here we always use in-game currency there is no problem!

Operton, I've traded 2 riding turtles in the last few months via this site and other pet traders. They are bind on pick up. You will need to redeem the code yourself. (unless they've recently changed something, which wouldn't surprise me but I haven't heard such a change. I think it USED to be tradeable but then that changed.)

Yes, it's account wide. Make sure you redeem the code on a character high enough to learn it, being soulbound after redemption is the only "issue". We caught the issue on the first trade at nearly the last second before the lady trading the mount to me for a pet redeemed the code.

Quick chime in about the riding turtle. It does appear on the BMAH and I I've done a trade where I gave them gold on my realm and summoned them to the BMAH to buy it in exchange for pets/whatever.

Just another option.

Okay... I am thoroughly confused about the turtle, now - even after reading the WCMounts info. If I understand it correctly, the BMAH cannot be traded because it has no loot code to trade, but the TCG version can. Is that close?

Neither can be traded. You either buy it off the BMAH and learn it or you redeem the code and learn it. WCMounts info is wrong. It cannot be traded. Once the code is redeemed the mount is soulbound to that character. I a pet for a turtle mount for my friend then I traded a turtle mount for a different TCG mount a couple months later (both in the last 6 months or less). Both times the person wanting to learn the mount had to redeem the code. What Arcan is saying is he traded pets for gold then summoned the person to the BMAH so they could buy the mount (or vice versa). Either way, it cannot be traded. (You may want to dig around on the internet and see what you can find out, it MAY have changed but I'm fairly certain it used to be tradeable then they took that feature away.)
