I will be able to make my first 5.4 engineering Pierre or Rascal-Bot. Currently taking offers on what I can get for them to complete my collection. Remember these are on 15 days CD to get one pet and require lots of mats, so don't expect me to go cheap

i don't think the new engineering pets are cagable, unfortunately. blizz may change this later, but for now it's DIY.

I can confirm this.

I made Rascal Bot this morning and when I right clicked on him to favorite him there was neither an option to release or cage him.

Bummer there goes my chance to get some decent pets

I'm going to be real surprised if they don't patch this to make them tradeable. As far as I know, these are the only pets in the game that require a specific profession.

Actually I am not sure . If I see some offers, I will be in a better situation to decide if I will keep the first one for myself or trade for my missing pets. But given the mats + CD I would imagine this to be reasonably expensive for a long time.

Yeah I am internally trying to debate this myself. I mean what is the exact cost in 15 days of cooldowns. Then of course there is the costs we do know about which is 15 living steel and 150 ghost iron bars. I'm stumped really. I didn't think this would have been made tradeable so soon.

The 'market rate' for a day's cool downs seems to be anywhere between the ballpark of 50-150g looking at how much people pay for cool downs such as living steel transmutes etc. if we take it to b 100g on average x15 days that would b 1500g add that to an ave price of 400g give or take 50g per living steel x15 and 6-7g per bar x150 it would come up to....
1500g + (400 x 15) + (150 x 6) = 8400g cost price.
This is one way of determining your cost I guess. Though this is no way represents or suggests that you should value it at 8k gold, it's a good basis to go on to determine cost and markup if u intend to sell on the AH

I get the feeling the pet will be in the 20k-30k range though. That is just my guess. And it is kind of fun to guess what it might be worth

^ I agree with Faelar. It's not that these pets are that hard to get by themselves, it's that by making 2 of these pets you're giving up a Sky Claw. I expect Sky Claws to be around 50k, I'd guess these guys are around 20k. At least for the first while.

First few that sell in the server might even go for higher

I tend to agree to what is said here but I will be surprised if anyone will list his pet for even 20k in AH. 5.4 pets on my realm go for over 25k. And this requires 15 days with 2 CDs plus quite a bit of time to farms mats.

For me at least I can try to see if I can get something that will be a not so easy catch most times. I dont care about the gold so if nothing else I will keep it for my self and continue with my collection building

Sky Golem is so insanely awesome that someone would have to ffer me a Viscious Horror for a engineering pet to keep me from my golem, just youtube the sky golem, youll see! Freaking gundams in Wow
