I know things vary from sever to server but your offer might be a little low. Looking at Illidan H right now you'd be getting about 40k for the Dragon Kite and 60K for the ST but the only VH on the AH is 120k.

illidan is the cheapest server out there though, like bare-bones cheap. I suggest everyone roll a gold maker there personally
I just don't know if it's wise to solely place value according to that server. My server Proudmore (very high pop, busy just not illi levels) right now Soul trader is 76k and 55k Kite which would be a fairer trade if I were looking for those pets and i'm guessing that goes for many others too. Like you say it varies wildly from server to server!
