6.2 PTR - New additions!

• Two new pets from the Darkmoon Faire
• Hogs is back in! An achievement reward from the Darkmoon Faire.
• A tribute to Blizzard Community Manager Nethaera - Find and collect a non-battling candle in Dalaran!

Things I'm most excited for: Magic Pet Mirror, Spirit Wand, Nethaera's Light, and Hogs!

Fel-corrupted legendary pets have been spotted in Tanaan Jungle! Each pet can be defeated once per day for a bag of Fel-Touched Pet Supplies, which can contain pet charms, Battle-Training stones to increase a battle pet's level, and even rare pets.

Sounds like Beasts of Fable 2.0, now with extra Fel.

For what it is worth (this may not remain accurate since this is the PTR), but according to Blizzard Watch blog about pets it does appear that Graves has been added:

The odd thing is that Graves appears after learning one of the Darkmoon Faire pets, specifically Hoggs from the achievement. Could change.

So there appears to be a testing area of sorts in Tanaan, with new boss pets. There's some mobs there, but nothing too terrible.

I can't post an image yet, though... it's a bit southeast of Fang'rila on the map. If you're having trouble, just follow the south coast east.

Likely a glitch or placeholder model.
Graves is listed as comming from an upcomming hots promo which isnt known yet.

Another new feature added: "Pet Battle Bonus Event - While this event is active, your pets will earn experience at triple the usual rate! Get out there and battle!"

The in-game calendar shows that it starts May 15 and continues until May 18. New events such as this one aren't listed past May, so it's unknown if this will be a monthly or weekly thing, or if it will rotate the other new events each month/week.

• "During Pet Battle Bonus Events, you’ll be able to take your pets out for a little exercise and earn triple pet experience from battles. Winning several PvP Pet Battles as a part of a quest during the event awards the player with an Ultimate Battle-Training Stone that instantly levels a pet to 25."

Is there any sort of indication as to when 6.2 will hit live? It really feels like we've hit a dry spell again, especially with all the terrible garrison battle pet changes and experience removal.

An official preview of the 6.2 pets was announced here.

• Crimsonwing Moth -- A rare spawn in Talador with many spawn points, and only one ever appearing in the zone at a time.
• Sapphire Firefly – A rare spawn in Spires of Arak who also has many spawn points and appears only once at a time.

Let's just say I hope the preview is mistaken. Because if the above is true, it makes me cringe for multiple reasons.

No set date so far, although Heroes of the Storm will be officially released June 2. Graves will likely come with that, but he's already in the live game files so he might not be a good indicator of Patch 6.2.

Best guess is some time in June.

They were intended to be instant-respawn, fixed. There will always be one up.

I've spent some time tonight and found 3 spawn points for the sapphire firefly and 3 for the crimson moth so far.
