With 6.1, Pet Charms and Battle-Training Stones from the Pet Menagerie are now Battle net Account Bound instead of Soulbound--a very welcome change. I've started to mail all my charms/stones to one character, but I would love a way to automate this process.
What are you guys using? I tried to set up a Tradeskill Master mailing operation but it doesn't appear to work. Any addons or macros able to mail the different variety of pet family training stones? or are you guys doing it manually?

Personally haven't found it too tedious to just do it manually. Fight menagerie daily, open bag, drop off battle-stone in mailbox nearby.

Re: Organization of Pet Charms and Battle Stones
To me, this whole expansion has been a constant struggle to free up inventory space in my bags--herbs, ores, fur, leather, tradeskill secrets and soulbound mats, sorcerous earth/fire/water/air and savage bloods, stones/seeds/pick/coffee, follower tokens, salvage crates, retraining certifications, iron horde scraps... and then there's 12 slots taken up by pet menagerie tokens (10 specific families training stones, 1 universal, pet charms) not to mention the pets you get from the bags.
So yeah I suppose doing it manually is fine, it's just when you include all the other stuff that gets thrown into your bags and multiple alts, it gets tiresome quickly--for me at least.

Re: Organization of Pet Charms and Battle Stones
Hope I'm not sounding elitist here (admit I have no life so spend lot of time online) but our solution has been to distribute mats amongst multiple toons and make sure one of them has a Storehouse in their garrison. Also keep our hearth back at Shrine so easy access to banking there, then use Garrison Hearthstone to come back home.
So my strategy, we have an herbs girl, an ore guy, leather and fur toons (didn't want to say "leather guy" cause sounds kinky), and just pass on reagents to them when we pass a mailbox.
With Reagents Tab in bank and huge increase in stack sizes, haven't found my bags getting overburdened. Also all those bags I bought for bank back pre-WoD mostly empty nowadays. Means one guy, preferably one with the Storehouse, can take all your toons' pet stuff without any problem.
Would be neat, yeah, to have one button that'd do all that but don't see it happening.

Re: Organization of Pet Charms and Battle Stones
I keep an alt with big bags who's job it is to be mail central. Every time I get blue stuff from scavenging yard or stones from dailies or anything that will just clutter bags and shouldn't be immediately sold... it gets sent to him. Once a week I go through all the stuff he has and mail it on to appropriate characters or add it to appropriate storage. It's a bit of a chore, but less so than letting everything build up on my lvl 100s. The level up stones from Erris I've started just immediately using at whatever pet is closest to 25th to save me the daily mail hassle.

I missed this change as well.
I have a bank alt that I sell my extra pets on and keep all of the stones there too.

Re: Organization of Pet Charms and Battle Stones
I have a pet toon that generally hangs around the starting zone for easy trading, and she also holds all my stones, charms, pet foods, bandages. Her bags are really getting stuffed though!

Pretty much this.Apennyworth wrote:this whole expansion has been a constant struggle to free up inventory space in my bags
I have bank alt that hoards miscellaneous stuff including extra battle pets, and a gatherer toon who used to fly around pandaria circuit so she has all my bandages, stones etc. Bags are getting pretty full by now.

Re: Organization of Pet Charms and Battle Stones
I don't think there could be an add on or macro that could be used to mail the stuff. That seems to me to smack of automated play... which could get anyone who used such into trouble.
I don't have any difficulties mailing stuff manually. I've been doing it with the older pet stuff for some time (and I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 80+ alts across two accounts).
The leveling stones I use right away... once I get all my pets to 25, I will probably just send those to my alt that holds the rest of my battle stones.

Re: Organization of Pet Charms and Battle Stones
Thanks to realm connections and the fact that all these items are BoA I use "off-realm" low level characters to hoard all my pet stuff. It's a bit inconvenient to send it if you always have to type theirname-servername, but if they're on a connected realm you can add them to your friendslist (or guild). I do my regular AH stuff that way too, I find it way too tedious to use a higher level character with a garrison to go back and stock the AH regularly. Too bad one day they'll probably all be high level enough to have a garrison
Re: Organization of Pet Charms and Battle Stones
TSM does auto mailing for nearly everything. It just has problems with certain account bound items, like pet stones. Otherwise it can be setup to send all mats to a central bank alt, restock any alts with mats needed to a certain amount, send overstock of mats to anyone. 2 clicks at the mailbox and watching your bags empty out sending things left and right is a great feeling.Maizing wrote:I don't think there could be an add on or macro that could be used to mail the stuff. "I had NO IDEA about this!!!"
(Or I'd forgotten already. I forget stuff... *a lot*) Either way...

Have you tried Postal yet?
You can Ctrl-click an item, and it'll add all items of the same category (usually) into the mail as well.

Re: Organization of Pet Charms and Battle Stones
The most user- and bag space friendly would be to add it to the pet journal. Charms, stones, biscuits, the hat, and the novelty items. Can't imagine that would be much trouble for Blizz to implement so here's to hoping we'll see it sometime soon
