I've filed that, and Hogs, under Can't Be Arsed. #fail

I found Hogs very easy to get. And I think DBM has an announcer as well when you play - at least something tells me when the 3 point dude spawns. Also if your toon has a speed option like a hunter, use it to your advantage. Also, play when lag is lowest....

Seemed to be a case of developing muscle memory for the proper course, then doing it properly over and over until the stars aligned and some good rng allowed you to complete with a winning score.

I think im going to go outside and find a tree to chew on for about a half hour then ill get to leveling the little guy.

I've discovered a hidden mode of the races , however, it doesn't give you any advantage. Already reported.
When you pick up your quest and pass through the start line by feet, you are given automatically a Racing Strider with only one kind of powerup.

And are you able to jump walls by Strider without a priest/keg powerup at all?

Yeah kinda: I used Asmongold's youtube strat video that includes a "tactical hop". Its necessary to line up perfectly and hop onto the very corner of another ledge to access the upper level of course.

I see there's a "darkmoon gazer" toy avail for 20 toll race on wanderluster vehicle. Im rehearsing the course to try to get that complete now. It's getting down that tactical hop quickly enough thats keeping me under the 20 tolls mark.

(The tactical hop is used on both strider and wanderluster strats)

I just couldn't let the other achieves sit unattempted, and then I couldnt let practice attempts go to waste lol.

After a long day of rehearse, I just got Big Powermonger: Gold and won the Darkmoon Cannon toy and extra achieve points

I think ill keep at it, and go for the final two race toys, Checkered Flag and Darkmoon Gazer. (The Gazer looks fun, like a eye of kilrog for anyone!)

I couldn't continue with the races. The music that plays is just irritating as hell. I don't want to play with sound off, because that means you miss important sound cues (and it's just weird - feels disconnected) and there's sadly no addon to mute that crappy music.

Control+M hotkey combo doesn't deactivate music during the races? Thats horrible if so. Im about to return to the fair now to try for more rabbits and moon moons, ill do a race and test this on my end.

Yeah ctrl+M is a no go. OK I recently requested some music controlling addons at WoW macro forums and got 2 amazing replies. I think one of them, ZoneMute, may be capable of this. Im going to test that for you now.

I play with music off except when levelling. It's a looped sound effect tied to the race buff you get, and is entirely unaffected by turning off Music. You either have to deal with the annoying shite or turn off sound altogether.

It was amusing the first time. On the fiftieth attempt at a repetitive crappy minigame, it's a huge f@#king annoyance.

Sorry I was hoping one of the two addons might have had the power to override the race music but it seems neither does.

Well, if I still had that keybind set to Disable Sound it would cut out everything (like I said in a previous post).

I wonder if its possible to determine what the name of that sound file is, and replace it in wow files with a blank sound file of the same name?

Submit bug report about the inescapable music and request for a sound toggle option both in bug report and on the wow forums would be a way to hopefully give future options.

Ill be happy to submit my own bug report and add weight to this request.
