Wildlife Conservationist World Quest

*Edit : This quest isn't bugged. You need to go where the question mark is on your map to trigger it before beginning your hunt.

Greetings,
I've had this World Quest called Wildlife Conservationist. I tried capturing the pets and defeating them many times without success. The Quest just won't give my any credit.
Did this happen to you? Any tips? I opened a ticket.
Thank you!

I had the same thing happen tonight. I have a check box next to each item and nothing I do triggers the completion.

I had this issue too. The WoWhead suggestion worked for me.
Had to run to the WQ spot on the map till the ! changed to a ?. Just clicking on the WQ will add it to your tracked quests but won't accept/start it for you.
Once I' done that I was free to run off and battle everything.

You have to indeed "trigger" the quest, which is actually a relatively small area - and it isn't always exactly where the quest marker is. Just run around until you get a "New World Quest" pop-up. Mine triggered near the bridges, north of Temple of Elune, after riding around for a bit.
Also, do not abandon the zone (in this case Val'sharah) or you'll lose progress and will have to run back to the initial spot to get the quest again.

Correct, you MUST trigger it by walking into the area marked on your map before any catches count. This is true for all WQs - I often have a problem with The Wardens ones where I didn't walk into an area from the "correct" direction and therefore it didn't trigger and doesn't count my kill.
Easy way to tell if you have triggered - there's a "banner" that pops up identifying the name of the quest and a voiceover dialogue once you get to the location specified.

Thank you all for your help. It would help if there was an NPC where the quest is triggered. Haha
