Raiding with Leashes
Server prices on pets vary wildly. But I was selling them for 40k on release and they are down to 3-12k where I do sell. If they haven't dropped in price you may be on a lower pop server with few farmers or someone on the auction house is inflating prices.
I'd also like to point out that the Drudge Ghoul dropped down to 20k, then slowly went back up to 40k. There's a point at which people get the achievement, stop farming and stop putting excess pets up.
