Ghostly Whelpling not so ghostly?

My ghostly whelpling seems to have reincarnated... When I summon him, he is crimson and looks exactly like the crimson whelpling. I tried caging him and passing him to another account, but he remains unchanged. Anyone else have this bug?

Seeing the same thing here but admit I'd never looked that closely at my Ghostly Whelpling when I finally got it, so don't know if this is new. Looking at the pictures of them on Warcraftpets the differences in coloration are very slight, but still obvious.

I'm pretty sure it's a bug (couldn't hurt to report it as such to Blizzard). Prior to this change the Ghostly Whelpling looked much more like Soulbroken Whelpling, except the Ghostly used the old whelp model + was more translucent grey than blue. Currently the image we have for the Ghostly Whelpling profile is a placeholder. We're working on getting a proper image for this pet, but it sounds like it'll be harder now that it's bugged in-game.

Ah, if it is supposed to be faded gray, it's definitely a bug. Here are the two whelplings as of this morning.
