Anyone else curious about this release? Everyone keeps on about the mounts and toys we can get yet theres nothing at all about pets. Kinda makes me a bit worried that pets are being phased out? You would think that if theres 32 new mounts in the area there should be at least that amount of pets but silence from all the reviewers, Anyone know anything about it?

At the moment we only know of two new pets coming from the limited time event: Astral Emperor's Serpentling and Muskpaw Calf. Both are rewards from achievements that can be completed during the event.

I was curious, but now I'm just disappointed. There's a ton of new mounts, but there are only two new battle pets across the pre-xpac patch and the Pandaria remix.

A surprise, got a Muskpaw Calf at level 56 working Townlong Steppes. Apparently had done enough quests to complete the Campaign there.

Checked out Timeless Isles earlier for the Serpentling and after 3 quick deaths realized maybe the level 56 needed a whole lot more leveling before doing anything there.

Tour and Shadow Pan rep got me the Calf.
Looking for Group got me Serpentine.
Spent a while trying to complete the Timeless Isle Tour, but eventually people stopped using their Meta Gems that reset the celestials so that was much quicker / easier.

How I got the pets:
Astral Emperor's Serpentling-Timeless Isle: "Looking for Group: Timeless Isle"
Muskpaw Calf-Townlong Steppes: "Shadd-Pan" and "Campaign: Townlong Steppes

Townlong Steppes took by far the longest, but doing the campaign also helped with the rep grind. Timeless Isle took maybe 30 mins. I got both pets in the same day 5/19/24

There is a Twitch Stream pet, the "Eye of the Legion" pet

Watch 4 hours of streaming and join your account to twitch and you get the Eye pet

Ive tried to tell them to add it to the "New Pets" post but so far no luck in getting anyone to fix it

And, the offer finishes on the 30th May... so 5 days

If you dont already have it (It was available as a drop before in game) then go get it

Eye of the Legion isn't a new pet. It was originally released in MoP (not the Remix) for the Trading Card Game (Timewalkers: War of the Ancients). It's only now re-released as a Twitch Drop pet. Since it's not technically new, it's not listed under New Pets. I hope that helps clarify things!

I can see where your coming from yes, and no... not new, but available right now for 5 more days and nothing pointing out that its available?

Thats what i was getting at, even a "dont forget that the eye of the legion pet is available via twitch until the 30th, get it if you need it..." type thing.

Just trying to make sure that my fellow collectors get a chance to get one, an FYI if you like.

Im trying to do the Looking for Group: Timeless Isle. But I cant get over to ordos - anyone know if I have to be lvl 45? Or is it my cloak i have to have leveled?

I found out myself You have to have the cloak leveled

It begs the question though, what happened to pets with this expansion. How hard could it have been to add a bronze vendor with a dozen or so new pets. Even recolored pets from the old MOP and we would have went after them. And Mop was the pet expansion, very ironic.

Not really a true expansion, it's a patch to keep us busy till the real expansion coming up someday. Not uncommon to see only a few pets, or none.

All of the Pandaria pets are cageable. If they had added the pets it could bleed into retail and they wanted to keep remix separate and not affect the economy.

Why are pet collectors always treated as a second thought?

The new Remix event allows you to (IMO) easily get some very annoying to get mounts like Reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent, which was a 5%~ drop. Son Of Galleon and others that were world drops and very hard to get. Which is cool - I don't like when things are stupidly rare for no reason, especially when its old content.

BUT - there are quite a few pets that are either (A) stupidly rare or (B) stupidly annoying for pet collectors from that era, too.

Dandelion Frolicker, Gu'chi Swarmling, Jadefire Dancer, Jadefire Spirit, Omnious Flame, Spineclaw Crab, Vengeful Porcupette, The Carps (Tiny Blue, Green, White, & Red), and some of the ones from the Raiding With Leashes.

Why aren't they offered conveniently from a vendor? -_- It's just annoying. We also haven't gotten a new Pet Battle Dungeon since 2019 and from what I can see there's been no additional ones announced for TWW.

I wish they'd show us some love.
