Unable to learn new pets

Anyone else having problems "learning" new pets even if you don't have them?

I just purchased a Darkmoon Hatchling which I do not have yet I am unable to "learn" it. I've submitted a ticket but I was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem.

Was it fresh from the vendor or was it a caged version? Just wondering how we can test the problem.

Also, if the pet was a caged version, make sure it's not too high a level for you to learn. You can only add pets that are equal to or less than the highest level pet in your collection.

I can't think of any other reason you wouldn't be able to learn a pet you don't already have. What kind of error is it giving when you try to add it to your journal?

Check that you haven't reached the max limit of pets allowed as well.

A. Caged pet
B. Only have 439 unique pets learned
C. I have 38 lvl 25 pets

This happens on all toons across 2 servers. Just tried with a different pet (lvl 1 & only 1 learned) with the same result. I will go to Dalaran & buy a pet to see if it includes "purchased" pets.

Just tried with a purchased pet in Dalaran. Same result. Turned off Pet Tracker. Going to turn off all other addons next.

Looked at your profile if you add duplicates to unique pets you are at 652 and the max allowed is 650 so that is why you can not add more, you need to cage some duplicates and bank them on an alt or release duplicates you do not need.

I have brown (grey,white now) hair and had the male blond moment myself a while back so know from experience
