ive just finished opening a sealed box..

1x Landros Lil' XT
1x Landro Longshot
1x Landro's Gift
1x Spectral Tiger

until the tiger turned up(in one of the last packs to be opened) i thought i had wasted £80, half tempted to sell it after seeing what it sells for on ebay, but i know ill end up keeping it

I keep asking myself what I'd do if I got a Spectral Tiger loot card. A few years ago I would have killed to get my hands on one but nowdays, and with other (easier to get but still cool) spectral mounts available in game he isn't "quite" as awesome and unique as he once was. I "think" I'd be inclined to sell it and use the money to buy ALL the TCG pets that I'm missing plus TBC CE.

I decided to jump on a box for giggles.. not that I had the $100 to spare but.. well.. call it buyers impulse

I have been slowly doling out opening packs to prolong this $100 endeavor.. I do enjoy seeing what is in the packs even tho I am not a TCG player nowadays so I dont really know what is worthwhile other than the loot cards..

So far I have gotten:

1 Ghostly Charger!!!!

Given the price of the charger online, I am going to try to sell it to hopefully recoup the cost of the box.
I also saw a seller on ebay selling opened boxes of cards after he had grabbed the loot cards out. He was asking ~$55 and he was very straight forward about having taken out the loot cards and left everything else since he wasnt a TCG player.. I may also try to do the same once I finish opening all the packs..

I only bought 4 packs and got zilch. I'd hoped to get at least a novelty card but oh well lol.

I think in future I'll only buy a box, expecially now that I know about the card pack weighing that goes on in some shops!

Opened 7 packs to date - got 'fortune telling' imp in a ball . Cool novelty item (magic 8 ball effect) but I was hoping for a pet ... I guess I can trade the code for gold or pets

A friend recently bought a sealed box for fun. He got:

x1 Magic Rooster Egg (mount)
x2 Tabard of Flame
x1 Epic Purple Shirt

Not sure what he plans on doing with the cards, but I'm almost tempted to ask if I can trade/buy the mount card from him so I can redeem it in-game and then find someone to trade a TCG pet for it heh.

This is actually reassuring to me.

I expect now that Blizzard is taking the license back, we may see some of the more interesting pets become available in the store (under a different name, like the Cenarion Hatchling / Hippogryph Hatchling). Alternately, they could end up being loot cards for Hearthstone, if such a thing were ever implemented.

I think the only reason they haven't done so before this is that doing so would have diluted the IP for Cryptozoic.
We didn't see the CenHat/HipHat copy appear until Blizzard moved the license from Upper Deck to Cryptozoic, likely for similar reasons.

Opened 11 packs so far and ended up with:
1 pet biscuit card
1 foam sword rack - luckily a guy on the wow forums trades for tcg stuff and I was able to get a crawling claw for it.
1 turtle mount - same guy traded me a bananas, a gusting grimoire and a grell.

So all in all i'm pretty happy with the trades I have been able to make.

I wanted an Ethereal Soul-Trader so I irrationally bought a sealed box. Got a Fel Drake, and a White Riding Camel (as well as a few Landros gifts). Sold the fel drake on ebay for more than the cost of the box and then foolishly bought two more boxes.

The second box had a few more Landros cards but was basically a money pit. The third box had a Spectral Tiger mount. Woohoo. I sold it in ebay for $525 and bought a Soul-Trader. I also bought another sealed box. I haven't got it yet - and if I don't come out ahead I'm done, but I've been seriously wondering if, given enough boxes, the economics work out in favor of RNG and ebay. So far I'm ahead.
