where exactly did you find them?

checked all of winterspring and even tho there are loads of pets around, no sign of the owl.

or does it only come as a secondary?

I'm having the same issue, been flying all over and not a single sighting, just tons of hares/chipmunks.

update 2:

found an other one, they seem to spawn in low numbers.

i flew two rounds, found one, killed it by accident, flew two more rounds, found an other one.

just keep searching. CRZ crowds all hunting the same spawn dont help either.

Try and get a Terrible Turnip. It's a perfect capture pet, as it's primary attack can never reduce a pet below 1 HP.

I found one near Winterflall Village. It was the only one I saw, but I lucked out and got a rare. Thankfully, I remembered to equip my turnip, so no worries about crit deaths.

Has anyone used it yet? Is it just a bad reskin or is it a good battle pet?

It shares its abilities with other owls. I really like the pure white skin, though. I've not used an owl yet, but I figure I'll level this one up and see how it goes.

Spent 90 mins circling the zone, taking out every single battle pet I saw (and a lot of just plain critters), never saw an owl.

On the plus side, I upgraded a couple of pets to rares but didn't manage to find a rare robo-chick before I decided to move on.

A note to the above poster who killed one with a crit. If you /camp after accidentally killing one, the pet will be back in it's spot, ready to fight and at the same rarity!

I picked that tip up from another post / forum somewhere, and have verified this actually works =)

Happy Hunting

This 100%. Saved me a lot of time having to look for more rare spawns I accidentally killed. The only time it doesn't work is if it's a pet under level 5 (so once you kill it, that's it), or one of those pets that spawns alone (like Restless Shadeling). I guess for more in-demand pets you also run the risk of someone picking it up while you're relogging.

Doesn't /camp log you out of the game?

Shhh ... you see nothing! *chuckles* I've known about the trick for awhile now, terrified if it becomes common knowledge they will nerf it. And yes it does camp you to server select.

On a snowy owl note, has anyone on Icecrown seen one? I've been looking for hours starting last night after midnight and this morning and not seen any at all.

EDIT: Logged in to see one sitting in front of me, poor quality but at least I know they are out there

Some of us with unreliable internet connections found this out by ourselves.:P Several times I've been disconnected during battles (let's say killed 2/3 opponents) only to log back in and find that the entire "set" is still spawned.

On topic: Went back to Winterspring for a couple minutes, captured the only owl I saw during one round around the zone (it's poor). Not gonna spend too much time looking for it atm, gonna wait till early morning to go back, or wait a few days till collectors get theirs.
